  1. You mean I'm not supposed to haul mulch in my mini?...AW MAN!!! Hootie
  2. If you notice, he didn't say that he did. He said, the guys that he knows. Hootie
  3. A man that busy, still has time for us regular people. Just plain AWESOME!! Thanks for posting. Hootie
  4. I guess, just better for him, not you or I. I don't even change hooks anymore. Used to, but it got to where it seemed to me a major waste of time. I would never spend $50.00 on a handle for a reel that already had a perfectly good handle, but I can see why someone would, if that's what they wanted. Like Ricky Nelson sang, "you can't please eveyone, so you got to please yourself". Maybe he just really liked other features about the reel. Who knows, anyhow, that's all I got. Hootie
  5. The real answer, or should I say, the REEL answer. Hootie
  6. R.M. I guess it's just for the same reason we buy a new $20.00 crankbait and then change the hooks, or buy a new reel and swap perfectly good bearings for better ones, exchange a perfectly good handle for a different one. That's just the way we are...lol. Hootie
  7. Yeah, that's it. Hootie
  8. Back in the 60's and 70's, my old Ambassadeurs had a gear ratio of 3.5:1. I still caught bass using the same type of lures. Of course you have to realize, the bass were really stupid back then. Hootie
  9. Do you guys actually fish with these reels or are they just show pieces? Hootie
  10. Don't know if I can say it here. I will send you a PM. Hootie
  11. Thanks guys, for all the nice comments. I have had a good winter, 2 Chronarch ci4's, and 3 Curado i's. Now these GLX's. Not to mention loads of new plastics, gammy hooks, tungsten worm weights, crankbaits. WHEW!!......gotta stop and go FISHING! Hootie
  12. A company that takes trades.I had a lot of tackle that wasn't being used. Took it in, they made me an offer. Walked out with $820.00 in rods with not a penny out of pocket. It pays to take care of your stuff. Hootie
  13. Had planned on getting a new G Loomis GLX. Instead, I got two of them. Got the 804c jig and worm rods. Hopefully I will get to try them out this weekend. Can't wait! Hootie
  14. Me, I don't have a big enough wallet to throw big expensive baits. Hootie
  15. I agree that losing a beat up lure is no big deal, but I would be more concerned about a nice bass swimming around out there with a piece of unnecessary hardware hanging out of its face. Hootie
  16. Phone book,.... now that's quaint. Haven't seen one of them in a long time...lol. Hootie
  17. Well, three out of four ain't bad...lol. Hootie
  18. Because that's part of fishing...lol. Hootie
  19. If you contact them, they will most likely refund the difference of $10.00 per reel, but not the shipping. Hootie
  20. ABSOLUTELY!!...my favorite. When I'm in the mood, I can do a whole box. But that's not often, I worked to hard to lose 75#. Don't want it back. Hootie
  21. Raul, you make me feel like a SLOB....lol. Hootie
  22. And a happy St. Patti's day to you! Hootie
  23. I have the exact same ones. Don't use the rod socks though. I actually used to use old sweat socks years ago, long before they had anything on the market for this purpose. Hootie
  24. Don't second guess yourself. That'll drive you nuts! You did good, made great choices. So, go forth and enjoy, Grasshopper. Hootie
  25. Nothing wrong with having your priorities in order. Hootie
