  1. Just traded that very rod Sunday. I used it for small jigs. Caught a lot of fish with it. Hootie
  2. My Mom used to do that, 50 years ago. Hootie
  3. Don't want to make you cry, but I walked out of the store with an out of pocket cost of $164.00. Reel brand new, rod brand new. Just traded some more stuff I wasn't using. $900.00 rig,.... $164.00. Hootie
  4. Simple answer is yes, they will take it back. Just state exactly what you said in your post. The phone call, while it seems like a good idea, will always get you the answer, "we'll have to see it first". They want you to be a happy customer. Hootie
  5. Will do. I'm sure you have seen on some of my previous posts, I have always questioned this sensitivity thing. I guess I'm about to find out for myself. I sure hope I have been wrong....lol. If I can't tell the difference between an NRX and a $50.00 BPS Tourney Special, I'll just chalk it up to numb hands...lol. Hootie
  6. Got my NRX. Got the 803c j&w rod. I'm used to 6'8" rods. Also, that's the longest rod that I can fit in my vehicle. Also, couldn't resist. Got a Shimano core 100Mg7 to mount on it. Oh happy day!! Hootie
  7. Listening to the way some of you guys, Roadwarrior, and others talk about the high end G Loomis rods tweaked my interest. I was recently able to acquire 2 GLX's. Got to fish them last week and they are awesome. So tomorrow I am going to pick up a brand new NRX J&W rod. I am as excited as a kid, the night before Christmas. Hootie
  8. How old were you when you snorted the worm?...lol. Hootie
  9. Lol, you bet I have. I remember one time,....well, never mind. I would rather not talk about it....lol. Hootie
  10. These posts prove to me that I am very intelligent. Never ate a bug or a worm or tried to use my mouth for a fireplace...lol. Hootie
  11. At times when have suddenly realized I have accumulated a lot and want to take more than I need, I just throw the individual bags in an old gym bag. Then just rummage through them as needed. Hootie
  12. You may have just opened a big 'ol can of worms...lol. Hootie
  13. Had wanted to drop the benji and just use Hootie, since that is how I sign anyhow. Well Hootie was already taken by someone who hasn't signed on since 2009. So "00 mod", Jeff suggested adding a character to make it usable, hence, *Hootie. Jeff has been helping me for a couple of days to try to work this out. And he did it. A big THANKS to Jeff. Hootie
  14. Actually, none. I could always take up bowling...lol. Hootie
  15. Rolo, I just checked your profile. I knew you had to be an old timer to remember those guys....lol.Hootie
  16. Hey guys, I got my name change. Check me out! *Hootie
  17. Wonder why everyone is having so much trouble finding them. I have 3 of them, and they are readily available in Cincinnati. Got 2 at Field and Stream, and 1 at American Legacy Fishing on a trade. Hootie Maybe I should just say,.... I never had any problem getting mine. Our BPS has a couple now and then. No consistency.
  18. Lol, that's funny. Actually, all I want to do is drop the benji, since Hootie is all I use anyway. Hootie
  19. They will let you exchange it for whatever you want. Hootie
  20. You guys have been a great help. I was beginning to second guess myself on my choosing to get the heavy. I guess mostly because, up to now I have never used anything above a medium heavy. I'm looking forward to giving them a real workout on the laydown infested lake I fish. Thanks a bunch. Hootie
  21. Is it possible to change or alter your screen name? Hootie
  22. WHEN do you get to fish?...lol. Hootie
  23. 12# Seaguar Abrazx. Also might add the lake I fish has a lot of laydowns, which is what I am fishing most of the time. Hootie
  24. Loomis GLX, fluorocarbon 5'-7'ft deep and as I stated jigs and worms, 3/8 jigs and 1/4 to 5/16 t-rigged worms. I might add, the Loomis GLX heavy don't seem as heavy as a duckette mh. Hootie
