  1. "CAST"...lol. Hootie
  2. As a former BPS employee, I can tell you, return it, they will replace it. At the store I worked in, I have seen them replace stuff that was two years old. Hootie
  3. Bengals, so far so good. Hootie
  4. A young guy on the lake I fish asked me if I was using a high speed reel. I said yes and asked why he wanted to know. He said, "I thought all you older guys used the old fashioned low speed reels". Now I ask you, isn't that, "ratio profiling". Hootie
  5. Couldn't have said it better myself. Good job C&G. Hootie
  6. Just kidding guys. This stuff is rather fascinating. Hootie
  7. Have at it. You play, and I'll fish....lol. Hootie
  8. Who would ever thought that simply going fishing could be so "DANG COMPLICATED". Hootie
  9. Raul, I like the way you think. Hootie
  10. Used to occasionally when she..er.....we were younger, but not anymore. Hootie

  12. Now THAT'S a birthday!!! Hootie
  13. Neither would I consider it a cheap rod. I just purchased one and I love it. For the price, an AWESOME rod. Hootie
  14. Want to know how my wife would have known to get me a core? She doesn't know a core from a BPS tourney special. She got on a site she knows I frequent. They happen to have a "wish list". She clicked on my wish list, and there it was. Click, add to cart, click purchase...voila. Hootie
  15. Anyone ever notice that it seems like cheaper rods are harder to break. Or is it just my imagination. Hootie
  16. I have used every kind of rod, from $29. Ugly Stiks, $35. BPS graphite series, to now G loomis rods. I am now an avid Loomis fan. Ironically, the only rod I have ever broken was a loomis imx. ANY rod can break and ANYONE can have it happen. Hootie
  17. Hard to believe how light a combo can be. Paired with the GLX, I can fish this rig all day. Hootie
  18. Got my B-Day gift on the water today. A beautiful pre-Autumn day here in Cincy. Had a great day and the core oerformed beautifully. Two fish below were the biggest of five total. Caught them on a 7 1/2" Junebug Culprit. Hootie
  19. She's the best. I have had the boomerangs for a couple of years now. Hootie
  20. Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys. And yes, it was a happy one. Hootie
  21. I had 2 of the Micro Magic's but had to get rid of them. Well, not rid of them. I gave them to my son, and he loves em. One of the lightest rods around. I just couldn't handle those micro guides. To tiny for my old eyes...lol. Without revealing how old my eyes are, my son just turned fifty. He's one happy camper with those Ducketts. Hootie
  22. Being a former BPS employee, you guys have just succeeded in ruining my day!!......lol...just kidding. Hootie
  23. I once had a Daiwa and one day I was reeling in a crankbait and smoke started coming out of the reel. Then it burst into flames. It melted the rubber off the handles and the cork off my rod handles. I will never own another Daiwa. .....The End. Tee hee hee! Hootie
  24. Seeing as that rod sells for about $250, I say, great find. Enjoy, can't go wrong with a loomis rod. Hootie
  25. Mine changes from day to day and week to week. Right now it's RI Sweet Beavers. Hootie
