  3. I see what you're talking about. I am looking at a knife from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. It has ringed bolsters. Wasn't quite sure what that meant. I know there are so cheapie knives with little clip on bolsters. Absolutely don't want that. Hootie
  4. On a standard pocket knife such as a stockman, or trapper, does anyone know what is meant by "ringed bolster"? Also pinched bolsters. Hootie

  11. Another beautiful day in Southwestern Ohio. No lunkers, but still had a great time fishing from the shore. A 180 acre lake with no boat rental. Hootie
  12. I used to fish the Ohio frequently. But the last time was probably 30 years ago. I have never fished the Little Miami. Hootie

  14. Guess I never considered any sort of disabilities. Sometimes we aren't aware of what the other guy might be dealing with. Absolutely, use whatever makes it possible to get out and fish, without pain and discomfort. A lot of my friends are amazed that at my age I have absolutely no physical restraints. I was talking to one of my fishing friends who has terrible back problems, which keeps him from being able to spend much time in a boat. He is only in his mid fifties, a mere kid to me. To often we take our blessings for granted. So, here's to all the light weight reels. "Fish em' if ya got em". Hootie

  16. I have both the Premier and Mojo's. Both great rods, but I'll take the Mojo's over the Premier any day. Oh, that would be 2nd generation Mojos. Hootie
  17. Worth their weight in gold. They absolutely agree with you. I found that out when they handed me the bill...lol. Hootie A heart surgeon had a plumbing problem in his home. He called a Plumber, explained the problem and the PLUMBER went to work. When he was finished he handed the doctor the bill. The doctor gasped and replied, "I don't make this kind of money, and I'm a heart surgeon! " To which the plumber replied, "I didn't make this kind of money when I was a heart surgeon either ". Hootie

  19. Actually, if you are asking for advice on how to use what you already have, I would forget the "what to buy next " part of the question. Concentrate on learning to use what you already have for now. You'll get a lot of great advice on here. Hootie
