  9. John, you forgot the most important thing in 1969. They launched......"The Brady Bunch"....lol. My kids were addicted to that show, and still watch the reruns. Hootie
  10. The Abu Garcia Cardinal 4. They were originally sold by Zebco, but manufactured by Abu Sweden. From BSA, "The reels, manufactured by ABU Sweden and sold by Zebco, became available to the U.S. market in roughly the 1969 time frame and by 1971, Zebco was in an all-out marketing war with Garcia and their French-made Mitchell. By the mid 70s the reel had become the most widely sought-after spinning reel in the country." From my collection. Hootie

  21. Too many good ones out there for me to nail down a favorite. About the time I would make a choice, I would make a new discovery. Last season it was Venom. Their plastics have really impressed me. Hootie
  22. The reason I posted this question is because I start fishing early Spring. soon as the ice is gone. The water is still quite cold. Back in the day, and now, I always used pork. But it takes too much babysitting. I would prefer to use plastic, but at the same time, I want the odds in my favor. So, if it means putting up with the hassles of pork, so be it. When the water is this cold, the fish aren't exactly jumping in the boat. I appreciate all the input from you guys. Maybe I'll give plastic a serious try this Spring. Hootie
  23. Gamakatsu, except for tubes. Those get the Trokar tube hook. Hootie
  24. In cold water, what's your preference? Pork or plastic, and why? Hootie
