  1. I think these are going to be good. Now the nay sayers,....well, that's another story. Some won't like them no matter how great they are. That said, "IF" I buy one, it will be a spinning rod for my new Stradic. I just simply do "NOT" need any more rods. Hootie
  2. You mention this line quite often. I think I am going to try a spool. Hootie
  3. Now, that's the "REEL" answer. Hootie
  4. I caught that....lol. I was school champion two years in a row. Of course, way back then, there weren't that many words. Reely! Hootie
  5. Thanks guys, you answered my question. I knew you would. Gotta love this forum. Hootie
  6. I think that may be, because we have gotten used to the idea, that for a Loomis to be a good rod, it has to cost $400 to $500. Maybe this will change all that. I for one, sure hope so. Hootie
  7. These came with my new Stradic, and I cannot figure out what they are for. Says instructions are included in the manual, but I find no mention of them. Hootie
  8. Funny how mono is just plain wrong, and Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston and countless others built careers using the stuff. Hootie
  9. We are all joking here,....right? Hootie
  10. Ironic, I have a pile of Loomis rods, and a BPS Cranking Stick. Hootie
  11. Sure nuff, cause they can't put it on the internet if it isn't true. Hootie
  12. That's "Rule #1", forgetting something gives you a built in excuse to go back. I've been using that one for years....lol. Love shopping for more stuff. Hootie
  13. Just find someone who don't like you and you'll get rid of it faster...lol. Hootie
  14. I bet you're right. And with a big price drop, people will be grabbing them up like G series Curados when their prices dropped. Hootie
  15. Not offended at all Mike. Just kidding. I surely do know what you guys are talking about. We have had our share of bull crappers on the floor at the Cincinnati store. Problem is that it makes the rest of us have to share his reputation. On a high note, I did have many customers who would come in and ask for me. Now that's a great feeling. Hootie
  16. Why, I've never been so insulted in my life!!!....lol. We are not all the same guys. Having been on the other side of the counter, I have had some customers that I wish would have stayed home. Like the "BOZO" standing in front of you spitting tobacco juice into a pop bottle while I try to keep from throwing up. GO HOME!!! Hootie
  17. Yeah, you don't want to get banned from the forum right off the bat...lol. Hootie
  18. Hey coak, I was out there for a couple hours yesterday. The rod you bought is nice. I have the SBR 752. You should probably be glad I wasn't there. I could have talked you into spending more money. I was the best salesperson in the fishing dept...lol. Hootie
  19. Same here, just depends on what I want, when I'm wanting. Hootie
  20. You got that right farmer. When you go to trade up, and you get 50% to 60% of what you paid? That's not investing, that's spending. Hootie
  21. Actually, you are reading my mind. I don't do a lot of fishing with spinning gear. I didn't want to go overboard until I see if I want to pursue it further. Given that, I might look into one of those G Loomis E6X's. Plan on using it for wacky rigs, shaky head, and small jigs and tubes. Hootie
  22. The PQ will continue. It's just just being manufactured by a different company. Not sure if it will undergo any changes. Hootie
  23. Decided to add a spinning rig to the arsenal this year. St Croix Premier C'mon springtime! Hootie
  24. Went yesterday, picked up some plastics and hooks and line. The lines were so backed up at the restrooms, I didn't get a chance at the crap. Hootie
  25. At BPS right now. On sale until the 15th. Hootie
