  1. Thank you. I am working on a leaping bass right now. but it's so complicated that I am about to throw in the towel on this one...lol. Hootie
  2. Tried something a little bigger. Approx. 8" tall. Hootie
  3. My favorite is also the bear. Hootie
  4. Took a couple of days to do this one. Just working on it a couple hours here and there. This one was the most difficult so far. Hootie
  5. This is making the winter go by fast. Hootie
  6. I am using Flexcut carving knives. The wood is basswood. What else....BASSwood...lol. My first one, the little bass, I did with a pocketknife. The boot was my second carving, the bear my third. That is all I have done so far. I honestly had never carved anything before in my life. Hootie
  7. Thanks everyone for your comments. Here is the bear all finished. Hootie
  8. Well, after I carved the bass, I decided to try a couple more just to see if I could really do this. I believe I'm getting better, and I am really enjoying this. Something interesting to do in the off season. 7 degrees here in Cincinnati this morning. Hootie
  9. OOPS! Miss a few days and you get behind in everything. Thanks Goose. Hootie
  10. I have seen the new Pro Qualifier. Apart from a newer look it's basically the same reel. But I guess that's a good thing, seeing there was nothing wrong with the old one. Hootie
  11. Actually, it's the bubbles you're feeling. Hootie
  12. Thanks A-Jay, I'll give those a try. Hey!.....is it spring yet?....lol. Hootie
  13. Okay, having used both of these, I have to choose Gamakatsu. Trokar hooks are as sharp as they say they are. In fact, I find it hard to keep the hook point buried in the plastic. To me they became a nuisance, constantly shredding my plastics. Not to mention, in my opinion, too pricey. Now, having said that, I fished the entire last season using BPS hooks. Never had a problem. 14. I guess about an hour. Probably would have turned out even better if I had taken a little more time. Hootie WOW!...thanks for the compliment Scott. I might have me a new winter hobby. Hootie
  15. It would probably run upside down....lol. Hootie
  16. Thought I would try my hand at whittling, carving with just a pocket knife. A little rough, but it's a start. Hootie

    WHY?

I always did that with my boat. Wanted to be able to hear the "CRUNCH" before to much damage was done....lol. Hootie

    WHY?

Kind of saddens me to think, all these years I've been wearing glasses, when all I needed to do was turn down the volume. Hootie

    WHY?

Isn't that when I lay down on the couch to watch a movie, then fall asleep?

    WHY?

Ever drive down a street looking for an address, and you turn your radio down so you can see better? Hootie
  21. That's hilarious. Maybe that was the original intent....lol. Hootie
  22. Looks like it could even result in some broken fingers. Hootie
  23. Would this work for ya'? Hootie
  24. Thanks for the link. Hootie
