  1. What did I go to school for? Uhh...they made me. What am I doing now? Not going to school. Hootie
  2. Beautiful!! Hootie
  3. That is a perfect combo. And yes, the Mossbacks are technique specific, and in my opinion are nice rods. Hootie
  4. Gotta get me one of those cats...lol. Hootie
  5. Hate it. Never did like it. Let me qualify that by saying, that my opinion is only because I'm old fashioned. Line holes are supposed to be round or oval, up and down. Old guys can be very opinionated for NO sensible reason. Hootie
  6. Rabbit ears,....Ah yes. I remember when the tv screen would start rolling, or flipping sideways. You would walk over,...yeah that's right. Anything you did to your tv required getting up off the couch. You would start turning knobs, this way, then that way, then would come the word, "the trouble is not in your set"......WELL IT IS NOW!! Hootie
  7. Remember the old days. You were watching tv, a commercial would come on. You would hurry to the kitchen to grab a coke, and maybe some chips before your show came back on. Now when a commercial comes on, you have time to take a shower, get dressed, go out to dinner, and come back home, and take a nap, before the commercials are over....Sheesh!! Hootie
  8. Tubes and Beavers, Beavers and Tubes. Tubes and Beavers, Beavers and Tubes. Hootie
  9. American legacy fishing has Curado i reels for $139.00 Don't know for how long. Hootie
  10. Just like the Curado i. Different paint, and a couple extra bearings. I also got this cheaper than the Curado. Hootie
  11. Not at all. I say, get whatever appeals to "you". I had several Lews reels. They were great. Some reason I just morphed into a Shimano "fanboy". But Lews are growing in popularity daily, it seems. I think they are proving themselves in durability. Get the reel "you" want. You'll never be happy with something someone else talked you into purchasing. Hootie
  12. Brian, if it's a bass, it counts. Hootie
  13. Actually, it was a joint effort. But hey, take the Scorpion with you. Us old guys need all the help we can get....lol. Hootie
  14. Two bass, one 15", and one 17 1/2". Big one on the Scorpion with a chatterbait. Water was 58 degrees and very muddy, Visibility about 3 inches. Hootie
  15. No one ever caught a fish until they invented braid and fluorocarbon. There, it's on the internet, so now it's true. Hootie
  16. Yeah, you know I'll agree with you. I'm already addicted. Hootie
  17. Arv, you're the fishing tackle version of a drug pusher...lol. Here, wait till you try this one....bwahaha! Hootie
  18. Might ought to put a reel on it too. Hootie
  19. I have 2 Curado 50e's and one Chronarch 50e. The only difference I can see is the paint job. Hootie
  20. I'm "crazy bout a Mercury"...hmmm...that would be a good title for a song. Hootie
  21. It's the brake surface. A drop of oil and it will stop. Hootie
  22. For a grand total of $1.70....lol. Hootie
  23. I agree, I see a patrol boat coming down the lake, and I'm thinking, c'mon over and ask for my license, please. I've been buying these things for a hundred years, and have never been asked to show it. C'mon, "ASK FOR MY LICENSE"!!! Hootie
  24. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. My lake isn't muddy. It's just dark green water. I've caught bass from muddy water that were very pale in color. Hootie
  25. Sorry about that...lol. I'll get better for sure. I'm really not mean. In fact, I'm a heck of a nice guy. Just ask my wife....wait, don't ask her. Oh,...the old man part,...there's not a thing I can do about that...lol. Hootie
