  1. Easy question for me. The best hooks are the ones I find on sale. Hootie
  2. I concur. I think that means I agree,....right? Hootie
  3. Perfect answer, perfect explanation of the answer. Hootie
  4. He would beat me too fisher, but think of what we could learn, even if we just sat in the back of the boat and watched. Hootie
  5. You mean, you really don't know, but you dislike him anyway? What if someone told you that Glenn beats up BR members as long as no one is watching? Hootie
  6. Lol....Raul, I'm looking for that elusive 3 pounder that swims my lake. I just checked to be sure. The Ohio state record bass is 13# 2oz. Hootie
  7. I bet if KVD is reading this right now, with some of the comments, he is probably shaking with fear right now. Wait,....that shaking isn't fear, .....he's laughing his head off. Hootie
  8. Actually thought I had this book. I just checked, and what I have is, "Hannon's Field Guide For Bass Fishing". Dozens of charts showing, season, time of day, water color, what baits to use, colors, under various conditions. Hootie
  9. Bill Murphy's book, "In Pursuit of Giant Bass". Anxious to read it and add it to my already massive bass fishing library. Hootie
  10. Skip it, you can have mine for a mere $8000.00. Hootie
  11. I hear that. Absolutely hate those plastic bearings....jk. Hootie
  12. Actually, the color was the only thing I liked about the rod. Those things were so "tip heavy", It almost felt like you were holding them backwards. I had 2 of them, fished them for a season, then they became the property of "American Legacy", through a trade. Hootie
  13. Bet it won't cost $200.00 to fix it. Bet it won't even cost $100.00. However, I may be a little prejudiced here. I learned bass fishing with the old red Ambassadeur 5000 reels back in the 60's. Hootie
  14. That's what you want, that's we'll call it. "Reverse BigBill Thread #1"...lol. Hootie
  15. I really appreciate everyone's response. You certainly don't leave a guy just hangin' out, waiting for an answer. Hootie
  16. Thanks Farmer. Off topic, but how is your boss doing these days? Hootie
  17. Thank you Raul. I appreciate your input. Another "solid" recommendation. I believe this will be a good rod to fish with, but if something happens to it, at least I won't puke. Hootie
  18. Thank you sir, I respect your opinion. Hootie
  19. Pretty much hit the nail on the head. I have been fishing with a friend in his bass boat, and between a sometimes rough ride across the lake, and some carelessness in the boat, I don't want to take the chance of getting an $800.00+ rig damaged, or flung in the lake. I picked up a couple of the IM6 rods, put on a couple of BPS Pro Qualifiers that I already had. So basically I was just wondering which version of this rod was best. A little late to be asking for sure. Hootie
  20. I see a lot of reference to these rods Are you guys primarily talking about the "shock" rod, or the IM6 or both. Hootie
  21. Do you talk to yourself? If you just said "NO", you talk to yourself. Hootie
  22. The water temperature, I was told was in the middle 50's. Hootie
  23. That's the best way to say it. "Best baitcaster I ever had". No one can dispute that. When you say, "best baitcaster ever made", that will be argued from now on. Good post! Hootie
  24. Nah, nobody's gonna pay any attention to ya! Hootie
  25. Rage craw lover. Hootie
