Don't really know. I just checked my BPS Catalogs, 1982 thru 1988. They weren't even available in any of them. I do remember that it wasn't a pricey rod. A lot of my fishing buddies used them.

I think about all the money we spend on fishing rods, then I recall the 1985 Bassmaster Classic. Clearly one third of the participants used "Berkley's Lightning Rod", including winner, "Jack Chancellor". I suppose you CAN be the best without spending a fortune.

No, nothing enjoyable about it. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer nearly six years ago. 27 radiation treatments, and hormone therapy. I am now cancer free, but it was quite a roller coaster ride. A lot of little party favors they don't tell you about.

Afraid you're wrong. I have the lure and the catalog in hand. Everything matches. Layed the lure on top of the one on the page. There is nothing that doesn't match. Even the color pattern. Not arguing that it's a 10+ or a 15+, but that it is a "Razorback".
