  1. I read just recently, that if you keep line out of sunlight it should store just fine and last for years. I buy in bulk, keep mine in a closet, and have never had a problem.
  2. Never mind.
  3. Here are a couple.
  4. They are Mann's Waker Elite series. Square billed crankbaits. They have some that dive to 4 ft., and some that dive 1-3 inches I bought some of both. Bob
  5. Went to my local store yesterday and picked up some crankbaits, marked at $1.43. When I got up front, they rang up at .36 each. Needless to say, I went back and got a bunch more. When I got home I looked these very lures on BPS website, they sell for $5.99 each. Wish I had bought them all.
  6. Let's all admit it, we hate everybody but ourselves. I LOVE ME MORE THAN ANYBODY ELSE!!!
  7. Did it 3 years ago. Best decision I ever made. I am having the time of my life. Even got a part time job at our local Bass Pro Shop to supplement my ever growing addiction. Enjoy the rest of your life. LIVE LONG AND FISH!!
  8. The water I fish has a visibility of about 1 foot most of the time. Never more than 18".
  9. I was just wondering, do any of you guys or gals use braid without a leader. Is a leader absolutely necessary or does it really matter. Thanks for your reply.
  10. I use both, but to be honest, the only reason I am using fluoro is occasionally I find some on sale. I'll buy, yes I like it, but I still catch fish using mono, and I simply refuse to pay an exorbitant price for fishing line, ANY KIND. There are $15. to $20. crankbaits. Never bought one, never will. Simply not necessary. Not as long as there is a BPS.
  11. Most of my rods are BPS. Never had a problem with them myself. I have cheap stuff and I have high end stuff. Never had a problem with any of it. I guess I always luck out and get the only good copy of all the bad company's products. Never could get myself worked into a frazzle over a reel or rod that's 1/10 of an ounce to heavy. I have seen the new bionic blades. Got to get a couple, as if I really need them. Love the split grip.
  12. Bass Pro Shops new 2011 master catalog.
  13. Can't answer your question, but apparently the have also discontinued the Nitro reel, because it dos not appear in their new 2011 catalog. Why do they always discontinue stuff I like?
  14. Last year I would have said BPS Pro Qualifier and my BPS Tourney Special rods, { I know they are low end rods but I like em'}. I have four such combo's and they performed great for me. But recently I purchased 3 BPS Nitro reels, paired them with St Croix Mojo Bass rods. I've only got to play with them in my back yard so far. I think they are going to be great. I am into my second reading of Bill Siemental's Big Bass Zone. I think I am going to commit to trying for big bass this coming year. Had a great 2010 season finishing with 599 bass, the biggest going 6#. I know I strayed off topic a bit, but I think my choice of combo's should hold up fine for this. Please excuse my rambling.
  15. C'mon springtime!!!!
  16. What did ya get for Christmas? Did you get everything you wanted? Did you get anything really great that you weren't expecting?
  17. If so, do you use it on braid, flouro, mono, or all three? Just curious.
  18. Frankly I agree with NBR. I use BPS, but I have used Shimano, Diawa, still use some Garcia Abu baitcasters. I love "em" all. I guess I am a fishing tackle addict. This is just so much fun! Happy Holidays to all you guys. Hope you all get EVERY piece of tackle you want for Christmas!
  19. NBR wrote, frankly can't tell a rats difference in any. AMEN, and AMEN and AMEN!!!!!!
  20. Tell your Mom I am up for adoption. WOW!!! What a Mom!!
  21. I prefer split grips, no fore-grip, but I can pretty much fish with anything and have over the years. My first fishing rod was a 6 - 7 ft. limb cut from the woods near the lake. My first store bought rod was as limber as spaghetti and probably weighed a pound. Believe me, fishing technology has come a long way in my lifetime and I appreciate all of it. Bob
  22. Thanks a bunch guys for all your input. Believe it or not I have gained a lot of insight and information based on other polls and questions on this forum. Example: Because of your info on BPS Pro Qualifier baitcasting reels, I now own 4 of them. They are really great. I read this forum a lot. You all sound like very knowledgeable people I would enjoy fishing with. When I want to learn something, I want to learn from the best. You guys are it! Thanks again. Bob
