Years ago, when drag washers were made of leather, we had to loosen the drag after a days fishing. I still do this religiously after every fishing trip. But I am wondering, what with all the high tech drag washer materials today, is this really necessary? Hootie

Yeah,I think you are right,you dont get, and its not for you. I wouldnt worry about it if I were you. If something new has come along, and some of us like it and you dont, we are okay with that. Just enjoy your stuff and have fun. I have friends who use nothing but shimano, some who use diawa, abu garcia, and none of us has ever wasted a breath trying to convert the other. You like what you like and thats okay. Besides, nobody cares anyway. Hootie

At my job most of my co_workers bass fish. I work at BPS in the fishing dept. Oh well, what would you expect. Hootie, Cincinnati, by the way.

I know I have said this before. Working at BPS, I have seen that every line on our wall is hated by someone. Like they say, ya cant please none of the people none of the time. I can tell you from watching some of the guys I have fished with, a lot of issues blamed on line is user error. Ya GOTTA retie at least once a month for petes sake!!! Hootie!!

I have a 6.6 carbonlite with the cabonlite reel. Yes, they are super sensitive, and light. Well worth the money. I also work at BPS, so I see what we sell. They are both great rods, but I would take the carbonlite, hands down. Thats my 2 cents. Hootie
