  1. Actually I did also purchase 2 Chronarch 200E6's, {darned LMG}. I am quite pleased with these reels also. Hootie
  2. Back in Feb. I posted this, wondering why one over the other. Got a lot of feedback, some of it pretty heated. I had no experience with either reel, so I was curious. I have since bought 2 Curado 200G's, and I am quite pleased with them. Remember, I have never had my hands on the E series Curado. I was just wondering then, since nine months have passed since my first post, has any one's opinion changed. Do you now think the G's are pretty good, not as bad as you thought, or suspicions confirmed, not worth it. I really like mine, don't have any complaints so far. Hootie
  3. Now that's fuuunny!!! .........roflmao!! Hootie
  4. It would be a 50G for $159 instead of $199. Hootie
  5. Whoever you are, if you are going to try to impersonate LMG, you better know, he only promotes Shimano. Heads up LMG, somebody is wearing a disguise. Hootie
  6. Probably not holding his mouth right. lol Hootie
  7. I prefer the Zoom Super Chunk Jr. Hootie
  8. I have an old jitterbug with a plastic lip. WW2 era, I think. Have to look look that up. It is a jitterbug, not a knockoff. Hootie
  9. Big fish, is a relative term. If you are fishing in a lake where bass are mostly 12" to 14"(my lake), and then you catch a 4# bass.......well. I guess I am one who don't know that finesse jigs don't catch big bass. Four pounds is big to me. Hootie
  10. Don't have a spinning rod, but I bought a champion casting rod a few weeks ago and I love it. Extremely light and sensitive. Probably get another before next season. Already own 4 of the savvy series rods. Dobyns all the way. And, no, I am not going to try to sell everybody on Dobyns. They sell themselves just fine. Wait till you try yours and you will know what I am talking about. Hootie
  11. Yes, try the Bitsy flip. Same as the mini jig, just a heavier hook. And like others have , Rage Chunk, deadly combo. Hootie
  12. As I stated on another post, " if only that were true". Nothing is always, or never. You can only hope to get what you pay for. Hootie
  13. Get the Curado. There LMG, I said it. Ya happy, huh, ya happy???.......lol Hootie
  14. You mean you didn't see it when you were threading the line through the guides for the first time????? Hootie
  15. What is your preference for a spinnerbait. Hootie
  16. Are the spool bearings in a curado G7 the same as the spool bearings in a Chronarch E6 Hootie
  17. You kill me LMG. lol I bought a Curado on Monday, fished with it Tuesday, went back to BPS today and bought another.......shhhh. Hootie
  18. They are both Shimano?? Hootie
  19. Is the G series handle plastic or aluminum. Doesn't say, and I can't tell. Hootie
  20. Thanks guys, for all the quick replies. Way more positive than negative, so I bought the reel. I know I can always get educated answers here, not just opinions. I walked around BPS this morning checking back frequently for replies. After all the feedback, I made my purchase. Going to try it out tomorrow. Retirement is GREAT!!! Hootie
  21. You're absolutely correct about that. In fact they regularly hold catfish tournaments on this lake. Hootie
  22. Sounds like a solid plan. I'm just anxious to get a positive no noise report on your 50E. I really want to get another one, a quiet one, like my 200E's. You have a great day guy. I kinda forgot about the work thingy, been retired for 5 years. Hootie
  23. You said you were going to try out that new 50E today.....GO!!! Besides Lews don't make the Chronarch. lol Hootie
