  2. Yeah, how do I keep that from happening? I've tried rotating the photo but it still lays down. This happens with a lot of the pics I put up...lol. Hootie
  3. Was a little chilly this morning, but by afternoon the fish perked up a little. This is the best of four. Hootie
  4. If you are referring to the old guys of today, we were young guys then. We caught them the same way you young guys catch them now. Some form of cast and retrieve. The old guys of the old days are probably no longer here, so we can't ask them. I guess we'll just never know....lol. Hootie
  5. No, it was given to me by a relative who originally bought it brand new and as you can see, he rarely used it. Hootie
  6. This is the latest addition to my old baitcaster collection. It's the brown Ambassadeur 5500. Manufacture date,....Jan. 1976. Hootie
  7. If I am going to use mono, I sure am not now or ever going to pay that kind of money for it. That's just plain...well.......it is. Hootie

  10. I had one doing exactly that. I sent it to DVT.Turns out, one of the bearings wasn't sitting perfectly flat in it's hole. It was kind of twisted. Don't know if that makes sense but you could check the bearings to make sure they are properly seated. Hootie
  11. Excellent point. Now, I guess I need to buy a few more reels....lol. Hootie
  12. Chex "Party Mix"....lol. Hootie
  13. I have bought reels from Japan and have never had to pay anything extra. I have heard that there is always the possibility but for me, not yet. Hootie
  14. Don't listen to these guys! If you use it for anything other than spinnerbaits, it will explode! Hootie
  15. I am "ME" loyal. I buy what I want, when I want. I may ask for opinions, but they rarely change my already made up mind...lol. Hootie
  16. Nah, I didn't mention the Shimano rods, St Croix rods, Fenwick. Johnny Morris signature reels and a few PQ's. Hootie
  17. 16 Shimano reels, 9 Loomis rods and counting. Hootie
  18. So far, I've been catching all of mine on hooks. Hootie
  19. Don't know. I don't know why I didn't weigh it. I had my scale in my tackle bag. Hootie
  20. Lol...actually that's more of a squint than a smile. The sun was in my face and I couldn't even see the picture on my phone. Wasn't sure how much of the fish or me was going to be in it. Hootie
  21. Looks great to me! Not to dispute the other comments but I've always had a difficult time catching bass in cold water. I'm right across from you in Ohio. Maybe that has something to do with it. Guess we'll never know...lol. Hootie ..
  22. Nice to get the season started with a bang! Hootie
  23. This bass from that hole. On a BPS River Bug, green pumpkin, blue flash. Hootie
  24. Me personally, I like the Core better than any reel made, regardless of brand. I am also partial to a full size reel over the small framed reels. So, you can see it actually comes down to what suits you. Hootie
  25. Everyone knows that the color green is much more sensitive than blue. Black is the most sensitive. Hootie
