Hey, Capt. Bob, you have given it a valiant effort.
Just for the record, I am kinda like you. I have St. Croix rods, G loomis, Dobyns, BPS, Fenwick, Abu Garcia. Heck, I like em all. I'm just a tackle junkie. My wife says I'm beyond saving at this late date.

You're right, but seems to me, if you are in a hurry, posting in the right forum would get faster results. But then again, I'm using my brain...lol

May be a stupid question, but with these magic erasers, do you still use soap, or just get them damp. Also, do you really need to clean them if they aren't real dirty, say used about 5 or 6 times.

This don't really have anything to do with your post, but I thought I would throw this out there. Whenever I buy a new reel, I always put the receipt in the box, and put the box on a shelf in my closet. If sometime down the road, I should have to return the reel, I don't have to go searching for the receipt.

J Francho, those are the best detailed instructions I have ever read. Going to copy, paste to word pad and print. Taping them above my work table. Thanks a bunch.

I also had the same problem dipping sweet beavers. The tail flaps were glued together and after I parted them, they seem to stay tacky. I gave the stuff away. Haven't used any since. Don't want it, don't like it, don't need it.
