  1. Hot Hole has bass in it. Nothing worth bragging about. But the pressure from the shore pushes them to the other side of the pond so you need a boat to really get the best out of it. Turtle pond is where I caught my first 4 pounder. But like it was said earlier the pressure there is high. Still good fishing but its hit or miss for me. Turee is great too. I spend most of my time there because the fishing is decent. I have luck both by boat and from shore. My friend caught a 3 pound large mouth off the shore there. I also like Chestnut pond in Chichester. Never really see anyone else there when I go. Its loaded with Bass between 1.5 - 3 pound average but its not a shore fishing pond by any means. I have lost a few lures there too. There is a nice section on the other side where it looks like they may have dropped tree branches into the water to create a nicer habitat for the bass. You can see tons of them swimming around that. Check it out.
  2. Ill have to check it out. Thanks. I doubt ill be nailing them like you have been. Never realized that the Merrimack is doing that well this early in the season.
  3. Why you gotta be like that? Help a fellow Pembroke resident out haha. Nice fish though killing 'em again i see.
  4. Anyone know of any good spots that aren't personal secrets (dont want to ruin the secret spot) or that are open water? The fact Shane now has pics up of fish hes caught and that every pond i have been too is frozen still its driving me crazy! Been waiting way to long.
  5. Hey guys long time no talk. Hows everyone doing? Anyone pumped for ice fishing yet? I know i am since its colder now and "real" fishing has ended for me.
  6. Hey guys! Haven't been on the forums in awhile. New job has limited my fishing lately. I have a vacation planned to go up to my lake house on lake winnipesaukee next week so i will update you guys after next week with photos and such of a trip that never ceases to amaze me. Tight lines everyone and keep up the good work! Thanks, Nick
  7. Did you give them a licking today fishing on the edge? I had a party to attend so I did not get a chance to fish today. No sadly. I only caught 1 SMB and it was pretty small. I'm going back up this week. I had to leave the water early today because the motor decided to give me trouble. Going to repair it tomorrow and hopefully be back on the water Wednesday. I know there is great fishing in those waters and I believe i found my spots for there but wasn't able to fish it :-/
  8. Going to do some fishing on Suncook Lake today. Hopefully the smoke from Quebec doesnt make it to hard to breathe or see :-/. But it will definitely not deter me from fishing. Have a good day everyone.
  9. Thanks UNH! Yeah the fishing is great. We are hopefully heading out tomorrow ourselves. This fishing is excellent at Turee and cant wait to go back to fishing it again. Good luck tomorrow UNH......although you probably dont need luck! lol
  10. Got out onto Turee pond the past two days. Caught a nice 3.74 LMB which was a personal best this year so far, and then promptly lost my reel and rod 9 feet under water yesterday. Yet to figure out how that happend? Fished out the rod and reel today with a giant touch of luck and then caught a decent 2lb LMB so the fishing gods were on my side thankfully 1st picture is the 3.74 lb LMB. 2nd is 2 pounder
  11. Got out on Turkey Pond last night. Caught 3 LMB. The biggest weighing 2.88 pounds. It was a slow night though they just werent biting. At least I caught something though! that was a plus.
  12. I bought some polarized aviator style glasses from walmart. They work awesome on calm water days because it just cuts all the glare and allows me to see much more than i could before like the weed beds, sticks, logs, etc. even fish can be seen much better. On choppy water days it still works pretty good. Sadly the lenses got damaged and i have to replace the pair but for $10 its a great deal. I recommend trying some. 90% of the sunglasses walmart sells are polarized.
  13. have you tried horseshoe pond in concord? we shore fished it once and caught a few pickeral. Yeah I fished it and have only caught a pumpkin seed everytime ive gone. It was recommended by Fish and Game for LMB but I have yet to see one get pulled from those waters. You only have two spots you can fish from as the bushes take over the edges of the pond.
  14. Thanks! Ill have to check them out. I no longer really fish turtle town even in a boat just because the milfoil is the worst ive ever seen it there. But ill check out the rivers and the hannah dustin.
  15. Anyone else know of any good places to shore fish around Concord? I know Turee pond was a good place for me but after fishing it with the canoe today I don't think I can go shore fish there now lol.
