right now i'm at the point of what i'm going to do different next year. right now i'm thinking about line. i know there have been tons of line topics right now.
i have mono on all my rods except my flipping stick which has 30lbs original fireline on it. i want more sensitivity on my jig/worm rod, i have 14lbs mono on it and i'm thinking about braid and f/c leader but not sure what braid, samurai is out of the question, too expensive. i'm scared to use f/c as a main line. i'm also wondering if i should just use original fireline instead of braid.
also is there any real good f/c or copolymors (sp?) that act close to mono for spinning rod (i know it will be a little stiffer)
getting another jig/worm rod soon so im thinking braid on the too?
please help i've always used mono and fireline and would like to expand on different lines
Hhaha!Maybe Him and Jackie Chan Be in part 2.
haha....Every outfit needs a world class sniper.....enter Tom Berenger
definitely needed in that movie, those need a sniper like Tom Beckette
Was that directed at me? I honestly didn't understand what he was asking.
Team Golija, who knows what will catch on and what won't. As a college football junkie, I am interested in seeing the college rods. I'm sure they would sell a ton of them down here in Texas, but I think burnt orange would make one ugly rod![/quote]
don't be hating on the lamiglas excel, its burnt orange and is an awesome rod
What are your favorite brands and colors?
i like the strike king zeros, gander mountian tricksticks, and yum dingers, i like purplish colors and green pumpkin though i do have some that are bright chartruese one that smallies love
im not a senko freak even though my name might imply it, they are one of my goto baits though because the flat out produce when others cant, when i fish alomst always have a rod with a senko on it, and no i do not 100s of them, i have a few selective brands, sizes, and colors that produce best for me
best and most durible plastic ever!!!!! i love the zeros in purple haze, get a pack, i just started using them this year and will never touch another yamamoto senko again
[quote author=464D43464D4848240 link=1279848879/8#8 date=1279911031. From what i have experienced i figure its a bobcat, lynx or a mountainlion because they have been spotted in my area. Plus we have blackbears in the neighborhood too now
I been face to face with mountainlions in VT too were there suppose to be extinct. A few times..... :
i have the same model and love it, i use it for just about everything, and it casts a weightless worm very well, it also is very good for spinnerbaits, you will not be disapointed with this rod
i finally broke down and bought some tru tungsten 1/20z flippin weigths because i needed 1/2oz weights and no stroe near me had 1/2oz lead weights availible
I like that idea!
Maybe the second one be a floating worm? or a rapala! haha
there is a rig like that, i saw it in an old infisherman magazine, it was for smallmouths, it was like a carolina or something that with the rapala on the end, never tried it though
thats rediculus(sp?) that people would try adn match their rods and reels, i for one dont care though it was a bonus that my blue rick clunn signature series reel goes with my orange lamiglas excel very well
the spinnerbait worm is so whippy, its not good for spinnerbaits and is too whippy for plastics, i suggest looking at the lamiglas excel on ***.com, its $110 and imo, it is 110 times better than the skeet reese and yes lamiglas has a spinnerbait/worm model
