at my home lake it sounds just like yours with largemouth. a 3lbs fish is great, even a 2lbs though there are way better out there. the average is more like 14"-15" though. we make up for it for having such awesome smallmouth fishing though i can usually slam the green fish good
if you fish heavy cover braid is a must. i have it on my texas rig/large spinnerbait rod and gonna put it on my pitching rod. it is way more sensative and much stronger than mono. if you dont like it and are more comfortable with mono than use mono
I remember hearing it, but I always thought it was a derogatory term...
me being a teenager with immature friends it is commonly used a dergoatory term
hate that stuff. i was fishing once with braided line on a baitcaster, the cottonwood crap caught the line got through the guide on the reel then i went cast and it stopped at the the guide. i have never seen such a bad backlash.
i hate constant rain, wind and cold. i dont mind rain or cold unless its put together with wind or each other. but i hate wind the most. heat isnt bad cause depending where im fishing right before i move i will jump in. i also have lots of water

i got my main grab and go bag which holds most of my tackle, then i have my boat bag which is like an overflow if im fishing on a boat or tournament. i have other organizers and i just put in and take out what i need. i am going to get a cheap medium sized duffle if i need to take a lot of tackle
i have handled them and they dont feel heavy at all. stiff yes but i want a stiff stick. i will look at the mh-f but i wont be able to get there until the fishing classic
Not to be a butthead because 11 points is impressive, but that buck looks kind of small. Thin neck, the antlers don't seem to have much girth, etc. Did you get a weight?
around here that buck would be huge
i have seen 2 does this year. there has been such a lack of movement here. i hunted ducks in october but was unsuccessful. how is the rest of you guys season going
im looking for a budget pitching rod and reel. i was thinking the bps pq 7.1:1 with bps extreme 7' heavy rod. what do you think. i am open to suggestions and really dont want to go over $150
