Yes, Sun&Lakes have a very nice golf course. The lake Istokpoga is 20-25 minutes from my home. That was my first lake where i test my boat. The only problem is that was very shallow and as a noob i had couple problems. I expend 9 hours my first day and i cant catch anything. The Hydrilla is a big problem for fishing or boating.
May be with some body with experience i can lern how to do it correctly.
You will find in time that hydrilla is not a problem, but a plus for fishing... bass love it.
If I was closer I would love to ride around as a non-boater, but I'm not. Try keeping things simple for starters. If your brand new to fishing I would stay start with a tried and true soft plastic... the Senko. Rig it weightless on a 3/0 hook and toss it around lily pads or weed lines. Watermelon or watermelon red are great colors anywhere I have fished them. This is the first lure my kids learned to fish on and is quite easy to use. There are tons of articles on here that will help you out as well. Also try visiting a local bait shop and ask them whats working and how to rig and fish it. Good Luck!
