  1. Excellent advice!
  2. Your on a roll! South Florida fishing has been remarkable lately!
  3. Yes, Sun&Lakes have a very nice golf course. The lake Istokpoga is 20-25 minutes from my home. That was my first lake where i test my boat. The only problem is that was very shallow and as a noob i had couple problems. I expend 9 hours my first day and i cant catch anything. The Hydrilla is a big problem for fishing or boating. May be with some body with experience i can lern how to do it correctly. You will find in time that hydrilla is not a problem, but a plus for fishing... bass love it. If I was closer I would love to ride around as a non-boater, but I'm not. Try keeping things simple for starters. If your brand new to fishing I would stay start with a tried and true soft plastic... the Senko. Rig it weightless on a 3/0 hook and toss it around lily pads or weed lines. Watermelon or watermelon red are great colors anywhere I have fished them. This is the first lure my kids learned to fish on and is quite easy to use. There are tons of articles on here that will help you out as well. Also try visiting a local bait shop and ask them whats working and how to rig and fish it. Good Luck!
  4. 23lbs sounds like a big bag to me! Good job, and now for the coordinates of "Pond X"....
  5. Perhaps you could share those secrets with us???? RW just keeps proving what a stand up guy he is!
  6. Geez that's dedication...
  7. Yet another reason not to beleive everything you see on TV! Yea 12lb flouro wouldn't last long on Lake O unless they were fishing the rim canals, and even then.....
  8. Gotta love spring break. Took my kids out today off the alley with good results too. Everything from the alley to tamiami has been on fire lately. The fish are eating good, 1.5lb heads on 3lb bodies, little footballs.... You did good Bruce mine only lasted 5hrs
  9. I have heard that this damages their slime coat, however I've seen many other members take pictures with fish laying on the ground. That being said it doesn't necessarily justify my actions yet I wanted to have proof rather than say that I caught five bass weighing that much. So if you want to help that's fine, but if you're in it to critisize others in a negative/bullying fashion than I would appreciate you keeping your comments to yourself. Well said... Congrats on a nice bag
  10. Your the man Big-O. Always look forward to your pics... love your baits. Have you (or have you considered) written any articles for the site on big fish hunting? I'd realy like to know how you do it man
  11. Hey you would probably get some great and specific advice if you let everyone know where your fishing
  12. Awesome video! I love "It's got a zoom", "Well your already here now..." lol
  13. Your the man Capt! Nice catch as always
  14. Nice one dude your back yard is the BOMB!
  15. That's a nice Lake O bass you got there! I think I'd have a big ole grin on my face holding that hawg.. you looked ticked it wasn't 10lbs
  16. Nice fish dude! You have two motors on that badboy?
  17. Guys be very careful on lake O. I hit a rock out of the Clewiston Cut over the weekend which completely wrecked my lower unit. This was in the main channel and I was between the markers. Earlier last week fishing was awesome on the lake, the front seemed to shut them down somewhat but hopefully it will pick back up soon.... I'm out of commission for a while but still looking forward to getting back up there
  18. Luckily there are enough gators to keep them from skiing out there. Otherwise Holiday would start to look like Markham Park on the weekends. And Markham has become a useless fishing location. I still see an occasional wave-runner at Holiday, that makes me cringe too.
  19. Wait..... I thought senkos didn't catch big fish.... Congrats on your win, way to spank 'em
  20. I fished between 35 and 41 last week after one our fronts. The whole place was over-run with gars and mudfish, never seen so many before.. Caught one bass in half a day... 3 mudfish 2 gar It sucked! But hey that was last week
  21. Exactly... seems like every year theres a few who do a little to good
  22. That's awesome. I've heard from several people that Roland is a very approachable person and all around nice guy.
  23. Sweet catch!
  24. There may be as many as 50 boats it's become a popular event. Bring your "A" game on Sunday! Good luck your first tourney will be a tough one
