Added a couple more steps and need to add a brace. But after trying them out yesterday , I asked myself why didn’t I do this sooner. Fish by myself most of the time and it sure makes it easier.
I only want it for a couple baits . Like shad raps in cold water and figure I will fish a Ned rig and those kind of finesse stuff more often if this works out I picked up a Phenix Feather to start . Put a Roro spool in one of my reels . We shall see . I know I can throw. 1/16 Ned with a small part of a grub as far on the BC as I can on a spinning rid . Tested same lure out on both just to compare . I was shocked !
Took some scrap I had laying around and put me a set together . They are pretty nice . Going to have them powder coated once I make sure this is the finished product
Yep,, no spinning reels for me is the only difference, spool you reels with cheap line and learn. Then have fun. I use SV stuff , they really help when I do hit something or just screw up .
If the Internet would go away yes! But I don’t think it will ever be complete. Always upgrading something it seems. Example I hate spinning gear. Started reading about BFS and go down that rabbit hole I go!
LOL .. that is too funny..
Looks good. I really like those Ally buckets in the Bullet boats. If I would have kept my last 21 XD that is what I was going to do to it. Also nice when you hook one .. it keeps you in place ..
Was looking back and saw this . figured I would comment on it . Not me .. If I were to get rid of this Ally and stay in a go fast it would be another 21 Bullet . Never another Stroker for me . I never liked the boat .. Small rod locker lids made it a pain . Plus the ride is more like a 20 ft Bullet . I fish first, going fast and good fuel mileage is a bonus with these type boats . I started running these things for the mileage . Its amazing how far you can go on fuel if you are not running wide open.
One thing to look at in reels depending on what you doing is how much line it picks up . A smaller spool reel with a higher speed gear set may not pick up as much lines as a bigger reel with a bigger spool and you can also get more leverage with the bigger reels . I use Shimano reels for most everything . I recently picked up a couple of Revo winches for deep cranking . It amazes me how much difference there is in a lower ratio reel on deep cranking .
