  1. Are you targeting one or all of the species?
  2. Reeeeeelly???? Hhhmmmmm, that could be interesting, might have to keep an eye on that !!! ....isn't Gore's contract up this year???
  3. If I had to compare his deep ball it would be Flacco's that comes to mind. His short passing game reminds me of Sanchez's, hit and miss, but that has a lot to do with past players also, a lot of them were basically dropped passes from not having enough mustard on the ball, they were on the mark most of the time but the recievers were turning as the ball reached it's mark. I think if he gets in a team and he can create a rythm, he could be fun to watch, but if he gets with a franchise like the Jets again, who knows. Who is replacing Murlarkey? anyone know who the Jags are talking too?
  4. Whats all this talk about Tebow not being a QB? How many chance's has he really had to prove he can be a leader? Really??? How many of us can sit here and say that he had the best O line in the league? I mean we are talking about the Jets for goodness sake, what offense?? How many coaches has he had to help him be a valuable QB? I honestly don't think he has been given a fair shot just yet, he had it pretty good as a Gator IMO, I think if he can get to where he can get a team that is on a good blocking sceme he may be able to accomplish something. What that may be I don't really know, but I would look a little harder at him.
  5. Most all of the transom's that measure 15 inches should have a short shaft engine installed on them, not always true, but mostly. It's when they started building 20 inch transom's that they started using long shaft engines. The cavitation plate needs to be a couple of inches below the hull for the trim to work and keep the prop from cavitating. Just a little added FYI for anyone wanting to know, hope it helps !!
  6. It's a short shaft Sloan, The way you tell is to measure from the underside of the outboards mounting clamps down to the horozontal cavitation plate ( the one just above the prop ) That measurement should be somewhere between 16 to 17 inches for a short shaft and between 21 to 22 inches for a long shaft. Like this.
  7. You sure those numbers are correct? I can't get anything to match either one of those numbers in my books from 1968 to present, it's not older than a 68 is it?
  8. That move alone was what put Bellichick in the place he is in now LOL !! J/K but you have to admit his eye for tallent is quite acceptional, I have to admire him for the strict flat out disapline he expects from each and every one of his players, it shows up every Sunday, it's non stop drilling and wide open throttle all day every day, as for the team it's every play, every player. It's hard to beat that, those that do deserve it.
  9. I think you may be right about the thread for sure, I have enjoyed it for the most part lol !! if I just could have got that dang spreadsheet to work. It's been a lot of fun seeing all the different teams represented and showing the love for their favorite team as well. Looks like we are on the same page with the picks this weekend. Brady should have another big day with the Texan's in town, I think the Pats in the playoffs at home are just too much for Matt and the crew to handle, should be an easy game for them. Green bay is healthy but on the road at candlestick, Gore I think will be their biggest problem, but A healthy Pack will be hard to beat anywhere. Denver at home in the playoffs with Manning at the helm will be too tuff for the Ravens, Mannings experience with games like these should continue their quest for the ring, I think this will be the game to watch. Seattle at the Falcons this is a tough call, if the falcons learned anything from the Skins game they could be tough at home, which I expect to see anyway, this game for the Seahawks will be close I feel, but the passion they showed on the road last week tells me they are in it to win it !! Coach Pete is not unfamilure to playoff teams and knows how to win on the road, Sehawks win again as long as they keep 88 in check.
  10. The answer to your question is yes, they are good to fish in the winter. a couple of things will help you find the right docks, one is the age of the dock, the older the dock the more likly the chance of it having bait fish around the dock, depth of the pilings, the deeper the water the dock is positioned in also aids in winter bass holding there, if you can find both thats even better. Fish these docks slow with drop shots, jigs and shakey heads, if the structure surrounding the dock has a good vertical drop, a DD jerk bait can be very productive as well, even if the structure is not that vertical I would still give the jerk bait a shot. Get your baits up under the docks if at all possible, fish them slow and use every available inch to work your baits, this time of year they are hard pressed to chase a bait very far. Good luck and be safe !!!
  11. Lots of stories like this out there and nice post by the way Rhino !!! Joe Montana is one of those too, one of the greatest QB's to play the game IMO, could not land a starting job for any big name team and finished his career as a Chief.
  12. Well put A-jay !!
  13. A scrambler is one that spends more time out of the pocket than in the pocket, or so it's been said, if that were the case then every team out there has had at least one scrambling QB that resulted from a weak front line or from facing a strong defense. Personally, I think it's someone who simply adds an extra demention to it's offense, an extra option that can run a couple hundred yards as well as throw for a thousand. Why is it that this extra special player has not been more successful? is it the quick release thats better than a mobile QB? is it that they just can't be as accurate off the hip a lot of times? lots of reasons I guess, just seems difficult to grasp that it has not been more successful looking at the QB's that were famous for their ability to do both.
  14. There ya go !!!!! Nice job guys !!! SP Congrats to you and Thai for what looks like an adventure to remember for a long time !!!
  15. I think Jon Elway tried, does that count? LOL !!
  16. Not a fair question, they all are scramblers to some extent, even Brady scrambles.
  17. Nice comment, This is what coach Mike has been blending into his offense, with the option to run if needed, some of the blocking scemes reflect that if you watch close enough, I think they both have learned a ton this season. Joe Thiesman comes to mind as a pocket QB as well, like you I cringe also, but with the rules in place today it's much better than say even two years ago.
  18. Na, I can be pretty harsh on anyone, I am only assuming we have not seen all of his abilities just yet, not seeing the whole package so to speak, just saying it's hard to make a judgement call in his very first season, I think he suprised a lot of critics so far, myself included.
  19. I think he is under rated instead of over, I agree on the fragile part, he could quite possibly fit that bill, the simple offensive sceme was put in place to bring him along at a slow pace, not sure of the pace next season with the injury but we will see, the bone head needs to learn how to slide first though lol !! I think since we have a good running game starting to take shape it will be a different Skins team this coming season, but one thing I have seen where we compare him to Vick is he chooses his runs, Vick just has no other option but to run, RG's roll out play's sets defenses on their heels and makes them back off more so than I have seen with Vick as well, I think it's due to his accuracy personally, the other factor is his ability to be able to hide the ball very very well.
  20. That was really cool too !!! There was an episode on tool time with Tim Allen some years ago where there were V8's built like this but I can't seem to find it.
  21. There are only 2 beers in these here parts, CHEAP and OP's I has ta go runnin outside da sity linez if'n I waunt me a Bud wizer !!! It's worth the the trip though to me and the mrs, she likes to party with me when I've had a little too much funnin...if'n you know whats I meen HE HE...if'n I drink me ennuf of em...I getz to sleep thru da hole thing...mmmm i luv budwizer.
  22. Flacco is not elite, and if he makes the top 10, he is #10 at best. Eli, and I don't like him, has to be considered elite, he has 2 rings, and he had a huge part of both playoff runs. WHAT !!!!! He say's he is LOL !!! don't that make it so !! I think he can be here in the near future though. As for Cam, I feel the same way, he does have some mad skills, if he would just get his head out of his butt and start putting it to good use !!
  23. Lets look a little closer at Boldin for a second. Speed, yes I agree, it's not there, but what is, heigth, that dude has got some major vertical, I feel if flacco can put the ball up he will come down with it, take another look at games where he got nothing, then think like you were just saying about a recent change that was made, There was a reason he was not part of the game, they worked the weakest side of teams secondary's and stuck to the plan, it was not Boldin that could not get open, it was planned that way, at least I feel that had a lot to do with it, but on the other hand you all do need to have a better WO for sure to get some of that pressure off of Boldin and the others. As for last week, I want you to think about the change that was made once more, before, there were no offensive adjustments made, at least none that were worth a crap, now this past weekend with Boldin, one adjustment that made perfect sense to me. I feel like it's just a matter of time, you are not far off at all, but if they call an offensive game like last week, I think you will be in good shape, I feel you have the tallent, just lacked the proper adjustments, it looks good so far, I think if they don't push it too hard you all are going to be tough to beat.
  24. I was just told RG3 is out of surgery, both have been repaired, he is down and out for the next several months, all we need to do now is wait and see I guess. Right now if I had to consider Flacco, I would put him in the class with Manning, (Eli that is) both QB's in my opinion that need a little more strength from the O line to show off their true potential, No doubt I think Flacco has Eli beat with the sharpness of his throws beyond 20 yds, Flacco is deadly if he gets an opening beyond that.
  25. That was cool !!!!!
