Thank you for your support in this matter I am part Cheerokee and I too am not offended by this name they have been given, although I see the conflict with the elephant issue, I wonder if that means the republicans will have to change their symbol as well, we will keep the other for the rest of the government cause they are all a bunch of jackass's any way !!!

  11. Nothing against people who need to use food stamps and other product as such, but I feel your pain Tom, especially when it's the only line, I wish they had a dedicated line for those things sometimes, at least in the major store chains like Wal-Mart.

  13. Well, I just hope it's not as long as Washingtons programs either, it seems we are finally on the up swing of things to come, we have a good baseball team, and now a good football program it would seem, at least we have a little hope looking to next season, good luck with everything and I can't wait to see what they have in mind up there in Philly !!

  15. I don't think it's a case of him being worth the 16 mil is it? The question is how much are they going to need to rebuild? and is Vic a part of that rebuilding? Vic has tallent but it's hard to show case that tallent when you spend your time running for your life, see my point? How long do you think for the rebuild is plauseable? i'm thinkin 5 at the very least with a productive season or two in there somewhere, depending on who they choose. I hear they are trying to talk to Gruden any truth to that?
  16. I normally don't go too far from the house, by that I usually do not travel out of the state, since I am located centrally I have most any lake within 4 hrs from my house, I have no need to travel out of state with tons of great water to fish, several big lakes as well as lots of rivers and tidal waters. Most all the time the boat travels with me and the family, we spend our vacation on the lakes here in Va. the jeep tows the boat and the truck tows the camper. A lot of times the truck and the boat are together for a two hour ride to fish tournaments on my favorite lake, it made 29 trips with me 4 years ago, but now that the economy is in the tank we have not been out much so once or twice a year is all it gets towed that far anymore. Any lake we go to, we always make sure there is enough space to include the boat along with the travel trailer (Camper) I take a long extension cord with me and charge my boat batteries from the camper each night, the longest trip is South of my house to Kerr lake, it's just over 4 hrs, the toughest trip is roughly 3 hrs to a place called Lake Moomaw, we cross 5 mountains to get to that one, but the lake is worth the effort. If it were not for the economy, we would be going almost every weekend somewhere to fish, 2 hrs or more for every trip.
  17. Ha !! I don't get the weather, last I heard it was supposed to be overcast in the am and then clearing out by the afternoon with little to no wind, I got up this am and the wind was blowing around 10 to 15 and I could see the stars....go figure???
  18. I am in Winchester a lot, they have a Gander Mountain store there, I used to frequent bars and resturants in the area. I have tried other brews over my many, many years as a professional beer drinker, all I ever drink is Budweiser, I can not even find it in any of the resturants any more and most bars no longer offer it, the only offering is Bud lite, even the local beer stores won't carry quarts of Bud anymore, it's all this dark beer and weird stuff now, I don't care for brews other than the crisp clean taste of Budweiser, I can't begin to tell you all how many different beers I have tried in my life time, for me I have a refined pallet for only one beer it seems. I do enjoy the idea of being able to sit at a bar eating cheesie fries and soakin a cold Bud or 10, but does it have to include the ol lady? LOL !!!
  19. Thats the easier of the 2 to replace, the hardest thing is routing the cable. I assume you are doing this yourself?
  20. Thanx Tom !!!!! That was great !!!! Your right, they also forget their chores a lot it seems as well.
  21. That was funny !!!!!
  22. Never fished there but always wanted to, I like the topo map that I was looking at, but it depends on the fish and what they are relating to as to what I would be doing for techniques. Be careful out there tomorrow, it's supposed to be a great day, take some pics and let us know what worked for ya and how you did would ya !!! Good luck and be safe bud !!!
  23. Is it a rack style steering or pulley? Usually it's the cable itself that gets moisture in the housing and a low lying area where the cable dips down is where it will gather the moisture and rust the cable and its housing, in short not worth fixing and could be unsafe. I would suggest replacing the cable assy honestly, they are not all that expensive.
  24. A couple of areas I am looking at near the bridge has got some pretty good lookin humps, Im thinkin a jig there worked slowly up the sides or a JB worked around those drops, I like the drop shot at the bridge but I would not limit myself to just that area with it, if there is some tall grass in there, I would put that drop shot bait at the very top of the grass or run a lipless or a small spinner across the top of the grass if they get frisky. Good luck and be safe !!!
