  1. My brother in law is a VT state trooper. It's tough to keep a straight face some days.
  2. They are Kyrigistani. Been here since ~2003, well to do family, older brother was posting videos to Al Qaida websites. Younger one was a great athlete in high school (Rindge and Latin).

  4. May 19th Episode is on Champlain for the Dreaded... Carp, Gar, Sturgeon and Sheepshead. Responsible for many divorces.
  5. Gilbert Gagner is a great local guide in the area, or Nehad Basic (Google them). Bring your boat and I'll hook you up with some waypoints. I live just south of Swanton.
  6. Gold and Red accents on a Curado E/G... Irie...
  7. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/world/reports-of-explosion-near-finish-line-of-boston-marathon/story-fnd134gw-1226621194152 3 dead and a suspect in guarded custody.
  8. Fire in a Mechanical room.
  9. A friend of mine that works in the Pentagon said that there are other "devices" being found.
  10. Shellcracker G2, and the GlideRap are great baits. Subwalk catches Pickrel and Fishermen, not Bass. Try the Jackal Boil Trigger as well.
  11. My mountain biking and lacrosse have definitely fallen by the wayside. I really got into back into bass fishing in 2009. That year I got married and had my girl. Fast forward to today I'm the president of our club, built a new house and have another baby coming. It's not so much other hobbies falling off, just life moving forward and bringing what you can easily enjoy with you.
  12. If you have a dick's nearby use the $10 off $50 coupon when they run their buy 3 get 1 free sales. I've walked out with 16 Strike Kings for $40 something bucks (none were clearance) . I like chartruese blue back, something "shad-like" and something dark, if I were going to do the 3 colors of one bait.
  13. Can I get an Amen-nuh!
  14. 3/2013 Field & Stream. 2 out of 5 stars. PITA to cast, tangles, junk collects on snaps. Made a good point too. When was the last time you saw 4 frogs swim in formation?
  15. I've got the 734c and 703s, I like them a lot For a frog rod the 735 is known as a great choice.
  16. Daiwa Zillion SHLA with a 100m Spool.
  17. 4.8" Keitech Swing Impact Fat in "Pro Staff Special" & "Silver Flash". A bottle of Mend-it (required IMHO). Gammy 5/0 3/16oz hooks and some 1/2oz Biffle Heads. This will get you going for most water depths and presentations, fish them slow regardless of the depth (to start). Going a bit Cheaper I was surprised how nice the Zoom Swimming Fluke was as well. Get the Houdini color (Very Perchy/Sunfishy). Spro 4" and 6" are nice (Accademy makes cheaper versions) a 6" Weedless Perch Huddleston is around $15-20 and in valuable for fishing shallow weedlines.
  18. Sunline Sniper in 16lb. ALWAYS use a ton of spit and the San Diego Jam knot. I think/find knots with lots of wraps or long pieces being pulled against others generate more heat and weaken the line. I'll never use Vanish or Flurocast again. L&L helps too, spray it on as you spool up the reel.
  19. VT is 5, 12" fish (limit and possession). We have waste not, want not laws... ie a warden sees you cull a dead 12"er, you're in big trouble.
  20. Beer/soda cans. Tape, paper, cardboard and plastic will all deform rapidly. Credit card is a cool idea though.
  21. The Curado is not their flagship... it's their f150/Camry reel. Plastic drag star and 2 bearings ... I will sign over the deed to my home to anyone that has lost a fish b/c of a plastic drag star (B series was plastic too so was the 50e.) Take the name off of it at $160 (Revo STX is $200) it's a fine reel. I buy performance per$$$ not names. The one good thing about the e series fanaticism ... I sold my 4 for enough to get a Zillion, 4 Advantages, and a Gen 2 STX. Love it...
  22. Why are people constantly saying the g is made with lesser materials? Malaysian 6000 series aluminum is the same as Japanese and American ... likewise NOWHERE is there any data saying they use different or lesser quality brass, polymer, or steel between e and g reels... bearings are the same as the e series, just fewer which is understandable for the lower price. for $160 ($130-$150 often) there are few reels that compare. Shimano knows what it's doing, and if they drop the ball the just fix and move on (speaking with nearly 20 years of working with Shimano and their products in cycling, snowboarding, and fishing) .
  23. I have the same model as goose. Very stable, I'm a big dude and have no problem with feeling like I'll dump the canoe.
  24. 8 & 16lb Sunline Sniper 60lb Sunline FX2 20, 30 & 40lb PP 15 & 30lb 832 10lb CXX 20 & 30 Tuf Line XP 12lb Tuf Line Supercast
  25. Zoom speed and super speed crawls. (Traditional craw bait, good vibrations) Rage Shrimp (a bit more subtle, FLOATS and super durable) Sebile Magic Swimmers. (Big bait but subtle, great when smallies are crashing bait balls) Arkie French Fry (subtle and not very large) Smoking Rooster (bigger and obnoxious vibration) . These 5 cover everything you'll ever need when rigging.
