  1. My little one used a "Barbie" zebco thing from just before 2 until last summer (just turned 4). This year I have her set up with an 500 (UL) sized reel and a 4'6" UL spinning rod.
  2. http://tipnut.com/grow-potatoes/ Problem solved. Works very well.
  3. The retreat setback in Brattleboro, on the Ct. Is good for pike.
  4. 8-12lb Yo Zuri Hybrid.
  5. I use an older version of this. Holds plenty plus it mounts to you several ways so you'll be comfortable. http://marmot.com/products/details/bodega
  6. If you have Pike you may need a replacement here and there. No Pike, no issues.
  7. If it were me... 1ea. 8" ROF 5, 8" ROF 12, 68 Special ROF 5, 68 Special ROF 12, 68 weedless ROF 12. (If you are dragging through thick weeds the big kick of the tail will be diminished.) 6" ROF 5 6" ROF 12 If you can get regular 6" weedless they are great baits. Looking at that list seems like a lot, it is but you'll be set up for most anything.
  8. Zoom ultra vibe speed craws and Rage Tail Smokin Rooster.
  9. Can't argue with Owner. But I like Eagle Claw Lazer's with the screw locks.
  10. Spare Tupperware Bin. Then have 1-2 gallon ziplocks filled with the individual bags of each type. Then I go through and put what I need for the respective trips in a box or two, and if need be a small BPS worm wrap.
  11. Lamiglas Excel or Excel II 735 is a great Carolina Rig rod. Little higher end would be the Phenix Recon 2 766 model. All have an average lure weight around 1oz.
  12. 100mm (4ish inches).
  13. Baby pacas or paca chunks on jigs. Rage tails, pit bosses, zoom speed craws or chunks are a good starting point for trailers.
  14. Doesn't Shimano already do that with some of their Fukashima plant bearings?
  15. Different bait. There are 4 Pit Bosses: 3,4,5" & chunk. The chunk is the trailer.
  16. Carolina rig and flipping mats. I bought a ton and am psyched to try them (still 30" of ice here). You need a 1/0 or 2/0 flipping hook, they're really tiny.
  17. Nerd. Want to go fish Cumberland Bay in August!
  18. http://www.uvm.edu/seagrant/sites/uvm.edu.seagrant/files/lcbp_report_bass_study_2013_reduced_size.pdf If this is the wrong forum please feel free to move it. But is is relevant to all anglers that fish waters where tournaments are held. Short and sweet. Researchers on Lake Champlain tagged thousands of Bass caught at various FLW tournaments out of Plattsburgh, NY and assessed their health/stress. Then tracked their movements (dispersal) once released. Some really interesting stuff in there about fish in the livewell on long runs, populations stock-piling after release and how Largemouths and Smallmouths move. Nobody has done this sort of research on a large lake before, it was interesting to see for sure. Some really useful information for Tournament guys as well as regular guys. Oh and the Nerds will LOVE the math and graphs.
  19. Size is 3x10x4 I've read that the stock bearings are ABEC 3ish (Japan doesn't use the ABEC scale). The S-ARB ones (corosive resistant bearing) are slightly nicer.
  20. I'm in, and going to catch it in front of Mainebass.
  21. When remelting, it is advised to add a bit of new plastisol to keep the baits a little softer.
