However a pair of Boca Abec 5s is 99% as good as the Jdm bearings and all the other bearing voodoo. Use cheaper Ebay bearings on things like drive shaft and worm gears (the don't spin fast enough to gain anything by using super bearings). Clean the reel deeply and lightly lube it. The drags on tatulas and fuegos is fine as is, but a smooth drag is like $8. Colored chi chi's well that's just for fun... PS I'll take the purple off your hands when the time comes.

Why spend money to merge?

The original plain Jane Tatula Rods are great and should be getting super discounted with the new model coming out. Same blank as the Zillion. 7'2" Hf or 7'1" MHxf are great jig rods.

I paid $3k for my 88 374 with no Talon and Hieroglyphics for graphs (but a Merc XR4) 4 years ago. Assuming there are no issues the $5500 is a good price.
