  1. Bottom Up Beeble. This thing is amazing. https://thehookuptackle.com/products/beeble
  2. A 7ft 10in H fast St Croix in the price point you want. A Curado K, Tatula 200, Tranx 200 or Calcutta 200 should be great. I've got St Croix models from BassX to Legend Xtreme. The 710HF is great for up to 2.5oz single hook baits (and 8" Magdrafts)
  3. For non-Champlain lakes, Matt Applebaum is the man for guiding the small waters. On Champlain if you aren't using Bryan Labelle you're wasting your time.
  4. This video is getting more views than anything on the "hub" right now.
  5. Where is this ?
  6. I have the JDM version of the new model. Mounted it on a Brailist and it's a dream. 1/2oz footballs can be cast almost "uselessly" far with it. (Line stretch over the distance hurts hookset).
  7. I still regularly use 2 First generation Sedona spinning reels (28 years old). The Citica E is the best reel out there for the buck. Aside from bearings in the handle (big deal) the only difference between them and Curado and Chronarch E's is a bearing under the drive shaft. Citica E's are regularly 40-60 used. Buy a smooth drag kit, budget carbon handle and bearing for the drive shaft and you have a reel for 70-90 all in that performs better than ANY current 100 to 150 reel. Without paying 150-200 for a green or white version with a sexier name. (OT the OG Daiwa Fuego is very much the same way).
  8. 4lb Tatsu is really astonishing. I use 6lb very irresponsibly with no issues (small footballs on rocks and zebra mussels). 4lb on ds should be awesome.
  9. Small football with a 2.8 or 3.3 keitech will crush if lolly gagged around.
  10. Tranx and I have 2 Tatula 200s.
  11. Gan craft makes one that suspends
  12. 28.44 would be my best 5
  13. Buy a pack of Gamakatsu football jigheads and add a skirt. Ends up being about a 1.25 a jig.
  14. Bottom Up Chibble is worth every penny.
  15. Hey all looking to get a rod to toss 1/2oz Keitech footballs around. I'm looking at this rod and just wondering if anyone out there has this rod and could offer some insights. Right now II run a Levante Brailist and it's just a little much for the light wire hooks.
  16. Keitech swimbaits sold. Updated listing.
  17. Selling a ton of soft plastics (below) Broken out as lots. Whole Box for $425.00 (save $42). All good baits and colors, if a bag is missing a bait it's like 1. 95% are brand new full packs. 18. Yes that's it. I've gone under an eighth of an ounce with it and had no complaints. I throw it on a rod built on an NFC 663 blank (1/8-3/8)
  19. I have a Ray's in mine. I love it. Spooled with 4lb fluorocarbon. It was like 50 bucks
  20. Wife ordered mine the 24th and I got the email the 27th at 7am.
  21. These threads are like finding the perfect jerkbait set up, no concensus. For me... and I Carolina Rig 8 months a year on Champlain and the St Lawrence, a LONG rod for moving a ton of line on the hook set and easier casting long leaders. Main line I go with Fluoro, less stretch than mono and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more durable than braid being dragged over mussel covered bottoms. Weights the Phenix Finesse or Rockcrawler weights depending on the bottom the slender profile truly comes through cover better. Leader, mono to a worm hook (Not EWG). I pre-tie hook to leader to swivel and put them on wraps. Then keep spare parts inside the wrap. Personal set up: NFC HM 807 spiral wrapped. Tatula HD 20lb Seguar Abrazx Spro swivel, bead and Phenix Weight 12-17lb mono leader. Good for 1/2 - 1 oz weighted rigs in 1-50'
  22. Nemire spoons are awesome
  23. Bottom Up Chibble spinnerbait (chatterbait and spinnerbait hybrid) Evergreen Last Ace 95 (floating minnow you wacky rig and twitch)
  24. Megabass Perfect Pitch for 6" rigged and Freestyle Magdrafts.
