  1. I remember using it back in the 90's when I first got into fishing and when I saw "Zebco Omniflex" it wasn't registering. I remember that Shakespeare had the line...no pun intended. Couldn't tell you when Zebco got it. Coincidently, does anyone know what Zebco stands for?
  2. OMG 12lb, looks like you need a rake. ?
  3. I'm going to predominant white or black colors...nothing in between
  4. Jig & single tail grub trailer.
  5. If you like shrimp scampi try it New Orleans Style. They call it BBQ Shrimp but it’s really an adaptation of shrimp scampi with Cajun or Creole spice mix dry rubbed on the shrimp prior to cooking.
  6. I personally wouldn’t use it much even though I love vegetables and would cook veg on it. We don’t cook breakfast enough to justify the cost and I’d rather have protein on the grill. Good luck if you pull the trigger on it.
  7. Shingles are no joke. I had a severe case of shingles back in 09. It really attacks your nerves. My left arm and side of my face would go numb. I had no idea what was going on until the rash came. looked like 3rd degree burns. Dragged myself to emergency room and they immediately started testing for stroke. To this day I have permanent numbness in a very small part of my chest. Fun times! I don't want to live it again.
  8. I wouldn’t doubt that a spinnerbait would work without a skirt, trailer or any soft plastic attached. Want proof? Look at an inline spinner with no hook dressing. It’s nothing more than a wire, a weight, a spinner blade and a hook. More? Zell Rowland used to remove the skirt on Buzzbaits and fish them naked. Not a spinnerbait but darn close to it. Yes, use any soft plastic you want. One word of caution: be careful of the weight of the plastic you’re using. A spinnerbait’s sweet spot for blade and weight ratio is a small window before it’s over torqued - runs on it’s side. ? Catt, not sure you should post that, it’s border line Rated R. Shat’s sexy!
  9. I didn’t think they made it anymore. When I started fishing I used it. It dries out fast. I was constantly changing line out during the season. If you don’t mind stripping half your spool and replacing line after every 2 or 3 outings, then score! That 7,000 yds will get you through a couple 3 seasons.
  10. Nice recipe @A-Jay! Basil huh? I’ve never made it with basil before. We’re growing some right now and they’re almost ready to get transplanted outside. I’ll have to try that. The only thing I do differently is I use less butter and add some extra virgin olive oil. Maybe a couple shakes of crushed red pepper. Gives it a certain je ne sais quoi. ?
  11. Yep. I’m with @huZZah, I put the bass gear away and do a little multi species fishing .
  12. Car polish and or wax
  13. You can only do you. Can’t really add much more than that. Good luck with you decision. ?
  14. You going for a trickster type configuration Munkin?
  15. Hahahahaha....I'm dying here ?...Excuse me, gotta wipe some water off my screen.
  16. LMAO...one year I was so amped up to fish I cleaned my reels and wiped my rods down so many times it was beyond compulsive. I finally get out to open water, jacked to the moon to fish. I wound up and put the spurs to her and got the worst birds nest. Forgot to adjust and thumb the spool. ? I lost half the spool of line trying to get it untangled. Buttttt......We've all been there before......At least I keep telling myself bone headed self that. ?
  17. All look like good spots. Hear some really good things about Massapoag. If I fished it, it was many years ago. Glad you posted it, I may have to try that out...again. As much as Lake Cochituate looks good, it's kind of a dud in my opinion. Report back on where you go. I'm interested to see if any of the waters are iced out.
  18. We're not at 4* but mid-teens for overnight temps. Low 30*'s today and tomorrow, then our accent to the 60*'s starts on Monday. Keep oiling those reels my friend, you'll be making your first cast soon enough. ?
  19. Not for nothing @A-Jay, but do have a special sales tax deal with the IRS? Hokie Smokes! ?
  20. That red one may work in the flooded vegetation near shore. Used to be a great pattern for me. Give it a whirl bud. ?
  21. Agree with @jimmyjoe Red lipless crank are OG for me in the spring. I can’t catch a cold with anything orange.
  22. I’ve been dealing with Central Serous Retinopathy for 4 years now. It’s correcting itself. Just not fast enough and left permanent damage in my left eye. Prescription glasses don’t do a thing for it.
  23. Don't sweat it @Tim Hu, you're gonna have days like that. then you go out an catch your PB like I did. See!? My personal best smallest fish! Made me feel good about myself. ?
  24. No worries. I'm at ease with it. It's just life. ? I know....but I couldn't resist. ?
