I was working a project in CT and stayed for the week...it was 3.5 hours 1 way. I was driving down @ 3:00 AM on Monday morning on a steamy summer morning and had my left arm out the window. Had to pull over because it was numb. Later that day I notice my speech was slurred. Jumped in the shower before heading out to dinner and noticed a rash on my left chest. By the end of the week the rash had wrapped around to my shoulder blade and had a total loss of energy. Went to the hospital and got tested for stroke because of the slurred speech and arm numbness. Thankfully (I guess) it was a really bad case of shingles. Like you @12poundbass, I have numbness in my left chest 14 years later.

UGH! I may be in my second battle with shingles. Had a severe case of them back in '09. Wasn't pretty.

Earlier this year when they were playing the Sox, they were in a close game and Donaldson didn't play that day. One of the comments made by an analyst was that Baldelli was handcuffed b/c he couldn't ask Donaldson to PH, is that true?

We were trying to get my daughter into "dual-enrollment", same as what you're calling the bridge program. She wanted none of it. She'll be graduating with her AA degree this month and is kicking herself for not doing it in HS...LOL Congrats and brag away!

Good for you @DaubsNU1! My daughter started doing photography right out of high school. She went to a tech school that had a shop in photography, video, animation etc. She has a website, LLC'd and actually gets a ton of work on FB. She'll post and watermarks some of her work in IG which links back to her web. Like you she does senior pic, weddings, bar mitzvahs, baby pics. The school had her do sport pics and video the drama club. She's doing great with it and I'm very proud of her....Sorry, dad bragging moment. If anything, it's been kind of a seasonal thing. Honestly, Covid slowed her down, but I think she realizes that for her it's seasonal unless she can get into other types of photog. She does work as a waitress to supplement her income as well as goes to college...finishing up this month. If you can diversify yourself, I'd recommend trying a few different things out. I'm in commercial construction and my firm always does project-end photos and my wife is a paralegal so she's trying to get her into doing photos for realtors. Just a few different ideas to throw out there for you. Wish you the best of luck mi amigo.

A penguin was driving through Vegas when suddenly his car stopped working so he had it towed to the nearest mechanic. When he got there the mechanic told him it could take an hour or two to find out what is wrong with his car. The penguin was getting hot so he asked the mechanic where he could cool down. The mechanic reply "there is an ice cream parlor a few blocks up the street" so the penguin thanked him and waddled up to the parlor. When he got there he ordered the biggest cup of vanilla ice cream they had. After awhile of enjoying his ice cream he started to head back to the mechanic. When he got back the mechanic said "Hey it looks like you blew a seal" then the penguin shouted "No no! It's just vanilla ice cream!"

Back in the ought 2000's I had 2015 vision. In 2017 I found out that I had a separated retina in my left eye from fluids building up and not draining. Now I have permanent damage in that eye that is basically useless. Don't take your vision for granted.

Last night (Saturday night) was a last minute decision to have pizza for today (Sunday) so I prepared a Biga for an overnight preferment. I underestimated the humidity last night and today, my dough went a little wild. Anyway, my daughters vegan pizza and my sausage pepper onion tasted great. Sausage peppers and onions You can see how much lift I got even tho I used very little yeast. Tasty ? nonetheless

How’s that work on a boat that’s been waxed? Does it strip it off?

Just wondering what you guys are using for a marine wax and cleaner between wax ops? My boat has been cleaned and waxed prior to pick-up from the dealer and it will be sitting in the bay on a mooring soon. I'll be able to get out at low tide to clean it up prior to taking a trip out. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

It’s actually amazing all the different dialects in MA. I mean Dorchester is so different than say Southie to the North End. I live here and laugh at al the Ted Kennedy wannabes. yeah, fohget about going to the gahden to see the B’s, guy. You’ll have no ideah how to ohdah a beah.
