  1. Seriously, you and I both. I guess we need more avocado ice cream in our lives, huh Blue? ?
  2. A lot of these guys are pretty good guys too. Where ya from Spanky? Really? That’s surprising. I’m hearing some decent reports of tuna being caught out on Jeffrey’s ledge north of Stellwagon? I’m thinking of a tuna trip in the fall after I pull my boat out. Would love to get into a bluefin. Heck, bonito or skipjack are a ton of fun! ?
  3. Yeah, I guess you’re right. He was only a 6th round draft pick, how long you seriously think he’s gonna last?
  4. Wow! And here I thought you got the Tampa Bay Bucs championship footy pajamas with #12 on the shirt?! HaHa! All good Bud! I couldn’t react to your post, I’m out of “Likes” today
  5. A lot of people starting out with a jig try to force the jig out of the snag. Try to lightly tug (finesse) it out. It does a couple of things: 1: It gets your jig back lol 2: The subtle movement shakes things (grass & silt) up and once free it usually has a curious fish waiting for it on the other end. Be sure to read @Team9nine’s post above especially about grass jigs. Lot of good info there. Team9. I’m out of “Likes” for the day. I owe you one. ?
  6. Sorry, not laughing at you, just this last sentence...?
  7. Ahhhh....I must have mis-read the opening post. I started fishing with a T-Rig. I'm a believer that detecting the bite on a DS take a little more time - for whatever reason, that what happened to me. A T-Rig will help you detect bites and will help you with a DS, Jig, C-Rig or whatever bottom type of fishing you're doing. Just MHO.
  8. I for one absolutely love the DS and have had a ton of success with it, especially this year. @Rora, how about starting your out off with getting fish to bite on known techniques and then switching over to the DS? This way you know you're the right location before that skunky odor follows you home. And if you can't get a fish on the DS, try the burgers. They'll taste great. ?
  9. You guys getting the smoke from the fires?
  10. Fake? Real? That's just crazy if it's real though.
  11. The last 2 days have been in the 90's clear skies and humid. In other words - summer. Tonight: Rain Tomorrow: Rain Thursday: Overcast Friday: T-Storms Give e a break
  12. Hey now, well congrats to you and your family! Here's to many safe, happy trips and a lifetime of bent rods.
  13. If you're a swimbait fisher for freshwater bass, you can use an outfit like that.
  14. That's sneaking up fast. Psyched for you.
  15. I have the Onyx auto/manual. Matter of fact I bought my whole family these. We all love them and they are very comfortable. I guess the only pain in the butt with them is having a few extra CO2 charges. Once that vest hits the water in auto mode, that CO2 is spent. Otherwise, you do feel cooler than most PFD's. EDIT: I guess the 1 draw back is that when it does automatically inflate, that's it, it's inflated until you take it off to deflate. I guess getting back on the yak to fish longer may not be in the cards.
  16. That certainly chases me off the water for sure. ?
  17. I lost the pic of the boat with a pool on the back deck. Maybe this weekend if I’m not fishing I’ll take a ride down there. Alrighty then, last one.
  18. Spit’n Image was my favorite Rapala Skitter Walk was a 2nd Spook Jr
  19. When I was building I used to put the rod under load and played with the guide spacing so that they kept the line parallel to the rod. Not sure if this is still practiced or not, but I did like the way the rod performed.
  20. I don't smoke, $12/pack is enough to keep me out of that game.
  21. I can't believe you just posted this vid, I was just in the articles section of the site reading Mike Iaconelli's piece on hair jigs. ?...I guess the irony is not lost.
  22. We found Cunner so Tautog should be near by. Stay tuned!
  23. I guess you did catch some snapper that day @bulldog1935! Beauties for sure!
  24. Another from the port
