  1. It's amazing that he died like 15 years ago and he had his best stuff in the 70's & 80's, yet he's so repeatable to this day.
  2. Our forecast for tonight: "Will be dark". ?
  3. It has to be 25 years since I saw a game warden, That was back in the day when your license had to be visible. To the OP, glad to hear that the rules are being enforced.
  4. bout the same for us...Tuesday will be mid-teens, then popping up to the 40*'s. snow coming in for Friday and Sunday
  5. Love it bud. Permission to steal that idea for a couple of my bucktails I’m currently tying up? ?
  6. Oh man, you're basically back to the same company where you started? Irony is certainly not lost here. Some good advice given here and I can't really add to it other than the fact that leaving and "going back" to the same company - I know you didn't go back - usually doesn't work out. In your case it may be different because they're taking over territory and need the labor infrastructure in place to maintain that territory. Just put your head down and do what you do best. I hope you get that promotion you deserve. I'm sure the timing may lag a bit, but good things usually happen to good people. Good luck man.
  7. Do those jigs have a chenille collar wrap? Hard to tell from the pic?
  8. Unfortunately, I'm seeing it more and more lately. People who have under sized moorings or don't inspect their chains in the bay. A hurricane that comes up the coast either washes their boat on the beach or worse, into the rocky islands scattered in the bay. We've seen more tornadoes this year than in my lifetime combined. Now we see hurricanes in late summer (mostly) and fall, tornadoes in the summer (now at least) and nor'easters in the winter/spring. Not exactly keeping me young...?
  9. That the orientation of the swivel makes a discernible difference. In fact, the orientation seems to be inline with how manufacturers are marketing spinnerbaits these days. If my eyes are seeing his pic correctly, he has the rotating post attached to the blade and the fixed housing attached to the wire. I believe that with the orientation he has his swivel installed minimizes chances of debris collecting inside the rotating post of the swivel. This is just my opinions and observations. I know of no known manufacturing R&D on swivels, recommended installation, etc.
  10. JeffD, who are you directing that question to? I doubt you'll notice any discernible difference.
  11. Ok, good talk. ?
  12. In my opinion, no. This is a very old pic. One of my kids was an infant when I did this and I’m guessing my son who is 17 now. I say this cuz I had to rebuild when he was taking his nap. ? This was a full cork butt that my then puppy got a hold of. Chewed about 2-3” from the butt. I hated the handle anyway so I cut the 2-3” with a dremal cutoff attachment and cut the mid-section of cork out with a utility knife/box cutter. i was going to just paint and finish epoxy but there was way too much epoxy left on the blank. I decided to wrap with gold thread and tried my hand at a maroon fishnet thread art. Well, sorry for the long post but I never felt a difference in action. Just a little different in casting and fighting a fish.
  13. Oh man Team9, I had a feeling I was gonna flunk that mid-term. ? Great info you provided, tho. Love researching history like that. I got some interwebz searching to do. Happy New Year
  14. Not sure I believe that anymore. ?

  18. I knew exactly what you were talking about, I was just making a joke...Sorry man, I should have left well enough alone. ?
  19. I'm assuming it is. I read an article sometime in the ought 2000's by Bernie Schultz titled something like "Charlie Campbell Walking the Dog" or something like that. Schultz must have collaborated with Campbell on it, but it was a terrific article on not only how to walk the dog but also how to make it walk in different directions. It was THE article that taught me how to walk the dog. I remember how it illustrated how Charlie would make a spook walk almost around a tree stump and went on to explain ho he did it. Again, a fascinating article. To put a time frame on the article, one of Charlie's favorite dog walking lures was a Woodwalker.
  20. Slow roll a spinnerbait. ?
  21. I didn't realize Fortnight was still a thing?
