  1. I'm surprised that you need to purchase, usually schools want specific programs loaded in and give them out like we used to get text books. I'm by no mean an expert here and I'm spit-balling a bit, but depending on the programs used, I would think the amount of memory (RAM) would be a deciding factor. Again, spit-balling here. My daughter is up to date with them, I'll get back to you. @12poundbass EDIT: Just looked at my son's, his school has the kids using a 3100, 2 in 1.
  2. Not sure if you're fishing from shore or boat but all the lures you listed are good as well as the advice posted above. Tubes from a boat tipped with plastic or real sea worms trolled are very effective. I'm a big bucktail jig fan tipped with an Otter tail jig strip or Fat Cow jig strip. can be used for shore casting, vertical jigging and trolled. I've gotten quite a few things from TackleDirect and have been really happy with their customer service, selection and "on-sale" items. Can't go wrong with TD

  4. I think you're right, with the spike in gas, inventories will probably start filling up soon, hopefully creating a supply/demand imbalance favorable to the buyer. We'll see how the next few carter years go. I will say, I'm glad my boat is almost paid for.
  5. While I'm happy about the end of the lockout, I'm still PO'd about the delay in getting negotiations started. #stillsalty @A-Jay, I blame you for my use of hashtags
  6. No, not just age. I don't get vertical (jump) like I used to.
  7. My running boards are pretty subtle...They look like they're pretty much installed for protection.
  8. I can imagine what the marina's will be charging this year. Back in '08 gas got to about $4.11/gal and I think the marina's in Kennebunkport were selling gas in the $7's. My little Edgewater with it's 70HP will do just fine this year.
  9. This thread had me thinking a couple of months ago about the possibility of upgrading to a bigger boat. Guess I'll wait until next year or so. I wouldn't be able to afford the fuel. @slonezp, I hope work picks up for you so you won't keep posting all these boats.
  10. I agree with the fact the once your body is depleted with glucose (carbs stores) you're body will resort to fat. However, your body needs time to extract fat out of cells (fat stores), convert it to glucose (gluconeogenesis). This is a slow process and not very conducive if you're involved in a strenuous activity (read weight lifting). During a strenuous activity your body looks first for glucose and if it's not available it will then breakdown protein (muscle) which converts faster and easier until fat is converted. Look at a marathon runner. Very skinny - not much fat - not much muscle either. Just pick your macro goals to meet the daily activity goals.
  11. The only Mitsubishi product I own is a split air conditioning system I put in my addition I built back in 2000. It's never been serviced and works great....Of course I just jinxed myself. Sorry, not much help here.
  12. Haven't had a drink since the Super Bowl. I'm ready to bite my arm off...
  13. I used a 5.?:1 for years on a round bait cast reel. I like reels in the 6's, plenty for me. Now line recovery is a different discussion.
  14. Snow tonight, only a couple inches. Mid-50*’s for the next 3 days. #imdonewithsnow
  15. I’m at an age where I’m losing hair where I need it and growing hair where I don’t. #gettnoldisabitch
  16. Like anything, nutrition isn’t a one size fits all. If I tried IF in any protocol and try to workout the way, I want to I’d cannibalize myself. I know some people who actually do well and actually either realize strength gains and/or use it solely to lose weight. There’s so much written about nutrition and they all claim to be the best and most sustainable way to follow. It all goes back to a square peg in a round hole. Everyone is different and respond differently to food. You just got to keep finding foods that work for you and execute a lifestyle with those foods. There really is no right or wrong, one size fits all, way.
  17. There are a few protocols of IF and you mentioned 3. 1 protocol is a 24 hour fast 1 or 2 days a week. I know people who do that and 16/8 and it works for them. For me, it just didn't work at all at the time. My job required too much physical labor and by day's end I was too calorie depleted. I'm in the "eat 5 times a day" crowd and make sure I hit macro and calorie goals. I've recently added some micro goals such as hitting sodium, magnesium, calcium and potassium limits all the while keeping saturated fats down. It called for an adjustment to macros, which is fine, I'm hitting my overall weight & strength goals. All good in the hood! Good luck if you're on IF. Like I said, I know it works for some, I just never could get used to it.
  18. Senior moment?
  19. 30lb braid for the most part for slow rolling the bottom, 15# Trilene Big Game if I want to keep it just under the surface or fishing shallow.
  20. Thanks @slonezp, really needed that visual this morning.
  21. Wow @A-Jay! Yesterday for us was 67*. Our 10 day forecast average is 50*. It's supposed to be 58* this Saturday, I actually may go toss a JB. I definitely won't be able to get out earlier than that, unfortunately.
  22. I got a few stick-ups and a definite weed patch (could by hydrilla, could be milfoil ) on the front of the channel towards shore. At at the back end of the channel is bare hard bottom. The "boomerang" looking things on your screen aren't actually fish, they're actually undercuts in the terrain (scars). You see, when I got into construction, hard hats weren't actually in vogue back then.
  23. Shave twice a week. I’m sporting the 70’s look with a part down the middle…a wide part down the middle….almost like you’re looking at a channel with your electronics.
  24. Cold day yesterday but a great day for a bean pot slow baking in the oven. Here’s the last of it:
