  1. So how do YOU guys rig it. Fat side up or down. I ask because I believe that it's a preference. I personally go fat side down allowing to let the pincers float up better. I'm not trying to hijack this thread, I've never used this particular Uncle Josh trailer before, only the originals.
  2. Being from Boston, I never got to see Boston, so Slonezp you're killing me...LOL Van Halen twice. Once with David Lee Roth and once with Sammy Hagar. Aerosmith when Joe Perry came back to the band...On a side note, we used to go to the warehouse, in my home town, after school to listen to them jam. Bon Jovi...another side note, my father was in the marine corp with his dad....same outfit...and if I remember correctly, my father said his real name is spelled: Bon Giovi Billy Idol...that guy was a nut Micro, that concert with the Eagles must have been an awesome one to see. Would have love to have seen Pink Floyd as well.
  3. That would have worked at a job I ran in Bridgeport, CT. Then the a mason contractor showed up with packed with a hand gun...I ended up hanging around with him... ;D ;D
  4. The rod pointed at the bait is a great tip and the shaking technique is also, on point. I forgot about that one. Nice post.
  5. Yes, just one switch controlling the fixture. Nate thanks for the link and congrats on the blue name! I saw your post which put you over the top and got a nice chuckle out of that. ...well, maybe more that a chuckle. Thank you both for your help. I'm planning on taping tomorrow, but If I needed to pull down some rock, I'd rather do that before instead of after...If you know what I mean.
  6. Gotta a quick question for an electrician. I built a new room in my house for my 6 year old son. I fished a wire to the ceiling for a light fixture and roughed in for the switch on the new wall. I plan on getting power from an existing wall outlet near by. So here's my question: I ran a new wire from the existing outlet to the light switch. Another wire from the switch to the ceiling fixture. All is just roughed (I'm taping the joints tomorrow). When I install the light fixture and switch, I'm assuming the black leads attach to the switch and I wire nut the white wires together. From there I make the connections to the fixture. Does that sound right? You don't make any connections with the white wires to the switch itself?
  7. Well done Fishwhittler.
  8. WOW! they came out very nice...Good luck with them!
  9. Looks good to me so far, I think it was a great first pass. Be sure to post the finished lure. Keep up the good work.
  10. Yep, Shane J is right. I agree with Daddyodo as well.

  18. X2. The stop-n-go retrieve can be a quick stop then go or a few seconds before you start the retrieve back up. The longer the pause the more helicoptering you get. If you stop and the bait hits structure, even better. Don't be afraid to go over tops, or even thru weeds. A single spin will go thru weeds better, IMO. Burning in the dead of summer really helped me out this year. The stop-n-go wasn't working, slow rolling on the bottom wasn't working, so I down-sized my blade from a #4 to a #3 and burned it and would get 2 or 3 bass to hit in a row. Pure reflex. You can also put on a grub trailer and jig it. The blade(s) really slow the R.O.F and can be very effective. Hope this helps and good luck.
  19. I don't think so, I thought that was a great answer to the question. Very sincere. Good job Nate. I've never thought about it before, so I'll have to think about this one before I respond.
  20. WTG Cadman!
  21. I should have clarified, I was speaking strictly with the Pats in all my responses. Sorry for the confusion.
  22. He started rocking the boat right after the win against Cincy at his post game conference. He will surely be missed, no doubt about it, but the Pats won Super Bowls with a lot less. As far as Randy Moss not giving a total effort is not true. Just because he didn't rack up a lot of catches so far this season, he was in on the most offensive plays next to Brady. Just having him on the field opens a lot of other options. Now, if the Vikings give Randy another contract, Brett can come out of retirement 4 more times. ;D ;D ;D Good luck, Randy. Moss did not play to his highest potential every play. I can recall a lot of times where after he got hit by a corner he would just stop. He wasn't motivated to play with the Pats and it showed. If you get paid that much, you better try. I'm not saying that he didn't help the team, I am saying that he could have been a bigger help. Moss throughout his career and including his time with the Pats was the deep threat. In that roll he is sprinting down the field for much of the game opening up much of the field for others. I would think that as the game went on he may have gotten tired and would be criticized of "taking plays off". IMHO, he did that when plays were called and designed when he wasn't an option and was able to conserve energy. I am not trying to defend Randy Moss. He had his share of bad games, but so do all athletes in sports and human beings in general.
  23. That's great. WTG J Francho! Good luck with your new position. Great pick Glenn.
