    Hello!!!

Aren't you supposed to be in school...LOL
  5. Good stuff right there BBM. I'll have to think about some names and throw my suggestions in the hat for ya. Keep it up Bud!
  6. Rhino was a fish catching machine on our (his) boat. I lost count on how many he caught. He caught LMB, SMB, pickeral and 1 or 2 bluegill. It was a lot of fun to be with a bunch of guys you converse with on an internet site. Just being able to put faces to a bunch of guys posting on a fishing thread was a tremendous experience.
  7. I didn't have a great day as far as catching bass, I know of at least 5 I swung and missed on with one being a really nice fish I missed on 2 consecutive casts. My hit to miss ratio was worst than Carl Crawford's for the Sox. I finally broke the ice with "Old Faithful" and walked the dog for my first of the day about mid-way thru the outing a healthy 1-1.25 lber. Not big, but satisfying to say the least. Towards the end of the outing I went back to the tube I missed all my fish on, a Yum F2ube in virgo red. It was the only one working for me with the exception of the topwater: Here's the results of what was turning out to be stupidity for not switching it up earlier to persistance/determination that this tube was gonna work: The majority my bites came on c-rig as we focused on structure off the bank for a good part of the day and this 4.8 lber was on a t-rig right up against the bank of an island. If I recall, this bank really had no shallow area to speak of, but had a nice drop-off. I also recall that the fish was located near or under overhanging branches.
  8. That's funny right there. Lynyrdsky1 would be saying something like this: "Ah, I aint gonna hook ya, I aint gonna hook ya....The hell I aint!"
  9. A 'Bib' Shirt from "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance." I can see you, Lynyrdsky1, wearing this while fishing a tourney...LOL
  10. I actually think it does have a good purpose. The site has cleaned up a lot. There are still differences of opinions, but now it's not as malicious, for lack of a better term, which is good, because now you can still have a healthy debate. It really cleaned up a lot of the wise @$$ comments that were made in the past. JMHO

  12. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed meeting you all. Thank you all again for your hospitality. I especially want to thank Rhino for letting me fish off his boat. He is truly a gentleman.
  13. Is the Home Depot parkig lot on the corner of Rte 109 & Rte 126?
  14. Eastern MA guy here, welcome to the site. Glad to have you aboard!
  15. I should be good as well. I agree with Jones, I don't think it'll be that bad.
  16. I hope you can sleep at night, that's highway robbery... Then again, I wouldn't lose a wink...GREAT PURCHASE! Good luck with it!
  17. Anyone have a lure or lures that you've had for years that you know, in a pinch, you can pull out of your well reserved spot in your tackle box and attach it to your line and catch a fish with it? My topwater year was really bad from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so after Labor Day I pulled out a Spit'n Image I had for 10-12 years and caught the most fish on topwaters in a 2 week span than I did the rest of the year combined. I also have a buzzbait I've had since the mid 90's. Round rubber skirt, black over lime green, yellow head (don't ask the brand, I have no idea). I got a few buzzbait bass this year, but after Labor Day, same thing, in a 2 week period I had more buzzbait bass than the rest of the year. Coincidence? Maybe, but my confidence is so high on those 2 lures that I can't go fishing with out them. Year in and year out, I know I can pull one of those 2 lures out and save an otherwise disappointing day. Anyone have anything similar?

    Hello!!!

Welcome aboard. Glad to have you with us.
  19. Nice one. I'm glad you got to spend some time wth your dad. I don't get to spend nearly enough time with mine.
  20. That's awesome A-Jay. You and your bride had quite a day. That's a real nice pike for sure, she must have been thrilled to finally get that one in? AHHH, why does it sound like she out-fished you? BAH-WAH-HAHAHAHA Seriously, congrats to you both, that sounds like quite the experience to be able to fish with your wife.

Looks great bbf. Were you able to try them out? If so, what kind of action did you get out of it? Looks like a shallow diver with a shimmy to it like a trap. Let us know.
  22. NGaHB is on point, great technique right there! Try a buzzbait as well. My how bass love a killed buzzbait in that situation. Could be trout. Our fisheries just got stocked and they're always busting the surface, or going airborne this time of year here in the northeast.
  23. Could be a tough bite...I'm coming armed with a c-rig just in case.
  24. WOW! Nice oinker for sure. WTG Nashua.
  25. IMHO: In both cases, obviously keep the stick baits and flukes. Both waterways you can use jigs, spinnerbaits, tubes, lipless cranks, worms (I'm sure I'm missing some things here) and any topwater of your choice. Lake 1 with weeds: I'm not a huge lipped crankbait fan fishing from the bank on weedy lakes. I'd rather throw a spinnerbait of lipless crank if I'm looking for a reaction strike. My opinion only. Jigs would be some type of finesse/flipping jig like an SK bitsy bug or bitsy flip (just using that brand as an example). Check out some of the sponsors here on this site (Siebert Outdoors and Northstart) you can't go wrong with either. The jig needs to have at most a 30* line tie otherwise you'll spend a lot of time taking weedes off your jig. Lake 2 with rocks/gravel: Screams lipped cranks, especially in a craw pattern (if any time would be the most ample time would be spring) or a shad pattern. Football jigs: You can't beat a football jig in rocks/gravel. I only scratched the surface and I'm sure some folks here will chime in on this, but I hope this helps you get started.
