  1. A-Jay, Janns Netcraft has the Mag Willows in stock. They have the Oklahoma blades in stock, but start at a size #6. The Oklahoma blades are sweet blades, no doubt, but the mag willows are a pretty close cousin. Check them out @ jannsnetcraft.com.
  2. You are dead on Rhino...They're still like that where I am.
  3. AHHH...you talked me into it boys, I'm gonna give the Mustads Revo mentioned a whirl. Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated.
  4. Thanks smalljaw and Revo, much appreciated. One question: If I went to a #4 short shank and I've read a lot of members here saying that they switch out to short shank because of the front hook grabbing on the line, but noone mentions any drawbacks as far as fish becoming unbuttoned. I feel like that with a short shank hook the bass can use the lure like a prybar and come unbutton? Any thoughts? I like the idea, don't get me wrong, I'd rather have the biggest hook I can get away with, but I guess I'm not sold on short shanks yet.
  5. Anyone here have any guide lines as to what size treble hooks can be used on walking type baits? I have one I'm working on that is approx 3 1/8" long x 7/16 oz or so (between 3/8 and 1/2 oz, depending on the mood of my scale)? Any help would be appreciative.
  6. The top blade is an Oklahoma blade. These blades have a crease/bend in a "Y" configuration like the one shown on the Terminatior. The Mag willow looks close, but it's creased/bent down the middle and not out to the sides. Same shape, different crease.
  7. It's time for you to take a dog for a walk...SAHWEET Big Bass Man!
  8. Awesome! I hope you both have many more this year.
  9. Glad to have you aboard!
  10. Man, I'm way out of sync. I must have missed 10 bass the other day on tubes, jigs and topwater.
  11. Great report Madeuce and welcome to Bass Resource. Post up a link!
  12. Glad to see you on this site again, tritz18, I hope all is well my friend.
  13. I tie direct to the lure, but there are some folks who like to use a snap. Just a personal thing I guess. Try both and see what gives you the action you desire and let us know. Good luck.
  14. Thanks guys, much apprecitive. I managed to get out on Monday morning for a couple of hours and got on a nice topwater bite. I saw 1 buck male guarding a nest and no other beds were fanned out. I was also able to get some bites on my nox-jig I made with a tungsten head. Man, that was great looking in the water. Anyway, good luck out there guys, hopefully we all will be getting on some nice oinkers soon!

  16. When Charlie was fishing T's in NH, he was a darn good fisherman.
  17. I like the idea of having a topwater a little more jumpy. I've always found that even dog walkers that were a little smaller than say a Zara Spook was always more productive - my personal favorite being a Spit'n Image fits that profile...Well done Big M
  18. If you do go, please let me know. I've always wanted to fish it, but I have never heard anyone talk about that lake, so I never went. If you're going to be in that area, then the concord river might be a better choice...MHO of course. Good luck!
  19. Walk the Dog - All my best topwater days were with dog walkers
  20. Not in order: Spit'n Image Super Spook Jr Skitter Walk Buzz King My own buzzbait
  21. Thanks dantatro49, much appreciative. Tight lines and bent rods!
  22. Well I'm finally getting out on Monday. I have to spend a couple of hours at my project in Dartmouth, MA and then I'm going fishing for the first time since New Years day. I'm not sure what stage the bass are in, I'm assuming they're spawned out by now. What are the water temps you're seeing? Any help would be appreciative. Thanks.
  23. Construction Superintendent for a commercial construction company.
  24. I'm suprized by the replies, for $4.50 and 4 or 5 applications this product works very well for me.
  25. Oh man, Big M, those props are the bomb! I made 1 and know that they are a tough bait to make and you go and make a half dozen with no problem...LOL...My hat's off to you my friend!
