  1. Yeah, like that dripping noise you hear in the backround is my @$$ bleeding for the Yankees!
  2. Nice Fish! Who said downsizing your offering doesn't produce BIG results! Great pics JF and congrats on your outing.
  3. Man I *** you! I didn't get to striper fish at all this summer, as a matter of fact, my freshwater bass fishing time was cut almost 75% this year due to work. I can't wait to get back up to K-Port, ME next year to striper fish. Good luck to you all this weekend and make sure you post your catch here so I can drool all over them!
  4. ^^^^^
  5. There is a posibility that the clevis has been compressed or widened. The clevis is the piece that holds the blade onto the wire arm, see the orange blade inline below and you can see the piece I'm talking about: Check that as well to see if it's been bent and hangs up, sometimes they do get bent out of shape at the factory or while fishing. Hope this helps ya.
  6. Man slonezp, that recovery is having serious affects on you...LOL...going stir crazy are we?
  7. What size is it?
  8. I love catching Blues. I fish for them up in Maine using regular freshwater bass lures. I generally have the most success on trap type lures in a mackerel or fire tiger pattern. The faster the better it seems like. Congrats on your catch!
  9. Did the same thing with an inline spinner and 3" grub trailer...LOL...misery loves company!
  10. She'll have surgery next week @ Dana Faber Cancer Center in Boston followed by radiation treatments for 6 weeks, every day. She's been very upbeat about the whole thing which is good. retiredbosn, thank you so much for posting/caring.
  11. Some great posts here. My guess is that the bite will be slow given the fact that we just had a front roll thru. By Monday the bite should pick up. Get out those slow, crawling baits and look for whatever vegetation is left that is adjacent to deeper water and see if you can't get down in a channel. I seriously doubt they will be in shallow, but hey, it'll be worth a try maybe later in the day. Good luck guys!
  12. ...and North American Fishing Club...LMAO
  13. Not sure where I read about it and I know it wasn't bassmaster, but the rig works great, doesn't it?!
  14. Great minds think alike: http://www.bassresou...be-hook-advice/ Post #4
  15. Congrats to you and your family! Man, the baitmonkey is gonna love you in a few years....LOL J/K
  16. Hey Steve, welcome aboard!
  17. It's definitely worth a look, it provides a great ambush spot, depending on where it's located in the lake/river. If it has another piece of structure near or in it - rock, stump, laydown etc. - even better. The slightest drop in elevation can be a bass magnate.
  18. Great job N.GA, I have a baitcaster that is ready for landfill that I may try that on, you may get a PM from me looking for some tips...LOL. Awesome work Bud!
  19. I was hoping to have fun with this. "He used to be a mod, who got banned for posting profanity, started threads on Senko fishing and hijacking threads to push his political beliefs." It is a great vid on spinnerbait fishing, for sure.
  20. Basically you want mimic a t-rig worm: Bullet shape head as Siebert mentions and the line tie that comes out as close to inline as possible to the hook. For grass jigs that would be approx 30*. That doesn't mean that the other jigs won't work, you just have better options to make the day more enjoyable.
  21. Would you happen to know the water temps and did the lake turnover?
  22. Denny Brauer Pro Premier will be good for both.
  23. Congrats on the family expansion Markh024! You won't have time to make lures with 2 new borns...LOL You will certainly have your work cut out for you learning to fish deeper lakes. Learning and adapting to off-shore structure fishing is quite a task in and of itself. Pull up a chair and read some of the articles here on BR, lots of great information there. And when you figure it out, let me know...LOL Good luck with you family additions.
