Hey all, I'll be going down to Disney World in 3 weeks and have a guide booked to fish the lake(s) down there. We will be launching out on the lake where the Contemporary Hotel is located (sorry, not sure of the lake's name) and would like to know what I can expect this time of year? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hey guys, It's been a while since I built a rod, but I have a question on color preserve. Would you need it for metallic thread? I want to give the metallic thread a whirl and can't remember if I needed to apply a preserve or not. PacBay has a Stay True Thread that indicates that no color preserve is not required, what are your experiences? Back when NCP thread first came out, it really didn't live up to the expectation. I'm sure since then there have been more advances to NCP thread technology, I just ahven't tried it yet. I'm not sure which thread I'll be using yet, but I was looking for your opinions. Thanks. That looks great, let me know how it works. Last winter I was fooling around with tying in a small piece of surgical tube, but I never quite perfected it. What you have just may work! Good luck.

I just retied a 1/2 oz spinnerbait with a 21 ct, using rod builders size c thread. It looks really nice the way the skirt flares out. I just really like a thinner skirt on spinnerbaits. The thinner skirt really gets accentuated on a stop and go retrieve. Have a great Christmas cadman.

How many strands you like to put on your spinerbaits? I used a 40 ct in the past, but last year I dropped ct down to the 30's and really like the way he skirt pulsated in the water. Your thoughts?

Good idea...I wonder if you could sandwich the tail between 2 pieces of parchment paper and melt the tail with a cloths iron....hmmm, I may have to try that.

I had a very tough 2010 and 2011 from an economy stand point and had an older reel that needed some work. I couldn't find the parts I needed so I asked Mike to help me find what I needed. He was skeptcal about the prospects of finding the parts, but he did take the time to do the research for me, more than I expected BTW, and was very happy to know that if I need help or if Im in a jam, I can rely on Miketo help me out.
