49ers - Is Crabtree playing?

I was finally able to get back to my build today and decided to use a color preserve on my wraps. I did a test on a broken blank I had and like the way the guide wrap epoxy went on the wrap with preserve better than the one without. Maybe it was the way the preserve seals the thread, IDK, but I like it. I'm using U-40 Color Lock 2 and Flex Coat High Build. Just finished putting on the color preserve and will let that turn over night (probably not needed, but what the heck) and hopefully tomorrow I can finish this rod up.

I'll throw the spinnerbait right back in there, retrieved a little faster. The 3rd cast is with something slower.

That's funny, I just finished installing guides, tip-top and hook keeper on a 2pc rod I'm rebuilding and refinishing. The reel seat was in great shape so I left it...Huh, what are the odds! Goof luck papajoe222!

It's actually weird that college coaches don't do well in the pros and pro coaches don't do well in college. You would think they would be iterchangeable? Nitro, Spurrier was a good coach, he was just surrounded by a bunch of nut jobs...LOL...J/K

I use a short rod - 6'0 - MH, medium fast action rod. I tend to use more walking style baits and find it much easier with less fatigue using smaller rods.

Good for your Bassin...I will have to say that my strikebacks came in the mail on Saturday the 12th, I wasn't able to get the 30% promotion for whatever reason, but these spinnerbaits are well worth it. I will be putting in an order for more when I get back from FLA next week.

All the Ravens have to do to lose is to start trash talking before they even make the trip to Foxboro...and from what I understand, one player already started that during the the Pats - Texans game on twitter...LOL In all honesty, these 2 teams have had some great games with the exception of the Ravens blowout a couple years back. I'm looking forward to some smash mouth football in this one. The playoffs as a whole has been really fun to watch this year for sure!

There have been many debates on here about building to the spine or to the staightest axis. I build to the spine. On 2 piece rods I make sure the upper section is spined and try and get the lower section as best as possible. If your bass rod is a fast or extra fast action rod, then the butt section probably won't torque on you, or at least you won't notice it as much as the upper section. On slower action rods, I make a concerted effort to get the lower section spined and aligned...MHO anyway.

Disappointment is watching your first baseman letting the ball roll thru his legs in '86...I lied, that wasn't disappointing, it was heart wrenching!
