  2. Glad your here bassbill!
  3. This is the year I reaquaint myself to jerkbaits. I really haven't used them in a long time and I remember doing well with them in the past. I just don't know why I abandoned them.
  4. I can just so happen to reccomend one for ya...would you like me to share?...LOL
  5. We're actually fortunate that all BR sponsers provide that kind of 411!
  6. My guess is that you probably went to the wrong eatery, the italian restaraunts serve it, but they call it polenta and charge 10X more...LOL...who said they were dumb!
  7. You really did a nice job with that! What size blade and jig is that?
  8. Derrick, are you feeling alright? Great job Bud!
  9. Man, I wished I never looked at this thread...I'M TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT!...ROFL
  10. You're welcome Bobby, I wasn't trying to "plug" the Megastrike StrikeBack, I just wanted to let the folks here at BR know that I did try them and really liked them. Now about those lead free evolution jigs...Check your PM's, I have a question on those.
  11. LOL...I came back yesterday and my family will come back in a couple of days...And I loved the Florida winter...
  12. RW, you're dead on about the components on these, but I was impressed with the paint job on the blade! I was using a Chartreuse/White spinnerbait and the blade was a half Nickel/half Chartreuse. The impressive part is the chartreuse was a transluscent color over the nickel base and had a nice reflection in the water. Avalonjohn44, I couldn't agree with you more about fishing in Disney and watching the folks streaming in. My 8 y/o son was with me and we had a breakfast reservation in the Contemporary Hotel right after the fishing trip. They had Donald Duck, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto come to the table to sign his autograph book and pictures...He was very excited about that! MV, you will not be dissapointed with the swiveling head on this spinnerbait. I did not miss a strike nor have one come unbuttoned. The hook is very sticky and big. I can't remember what Megastrike uses, but the 3/8 oz bait I was using looked like a Mustad 5/0 hook. Maybe Bobby can let us know. I'll tell you one thing, those guides were just as impressed as I was...LOL upnorth, I think the biggest we caught was just under 3 lbs, but to catch that many fish in a 2.5 hour slot on January 25th...for me, it was way better than driving to the airport in 5* cold on January 24th...LOL
  13. We do breakfast for dinner about 3 or 4 times a month during the winter months. Honestly, I could eat it any time of day, I love breakfast. I taught my 12 y/o daughter how to make french toast and she makse them better than I do, but when it comes to breakfast for dinner my kids usually ask me to make "dad's famous waffles"...LOL..I'll make a base batter b/c my son likes chocolate chip waffles and my daughter will add her french toast ingredients. I'll split the batter and let them put in their ingredients. I'll tell ya, the french toast waffles are the BOMB!
  14. I just got back from my trip to Disney and on Friday my son and I were able to go out and fish Bay Lake in Disney. We employed one of the Disney guides and were able to get out for 2.5 hours, unfortunatley we had plans for the rest of the day, so we squeezed in as much time as possible. We used worms and I had brought down some Strikeback Spinnerbaits and used those as well. These spinnerbaits were a lot of fun to fish with. Absolutely great right out of the package. The boat landed 11 fish and we missed 4 additional fish on worms. The Strikeback accounted for 6 fish all were bigger than the worm fish. At the end of the outing I gave the guide a brand new Strikeback in addition to the gratuity and during the trip I found out that the guide I used 6 years ago was still employed by Disney so I gave him one as well. If you're on the fence about buying some of these, I highly recommend trying them. I hooked and landed every fish that struck one and when you see that fish trying to shake that bait loose, you'll see the swiveling action of the hook and will have confidence that the fish won't come unbuttoned.
  15. The red head/bone (white) Zara used to be a great producer. It looks just like that without the glitter and yellow belly. I can't imagine why that color combo wouldn't work. The silver glitter would be great on a clear sky/clear water condition, IMHO. Is this a lure your trying to initate or are looking to buy? Good luck my friend!
  16. I can tell that you're a righteous dude! LMAO
  17. Thanks...I must know the spot...I ended up marrying one of them... Oh, you mean fish.
  18. It took you a few days, but I had a feeling a Homerism would come out...LMAO "I wish someone would just call me sir...without adding...your making a scene." ~ Homer Simpson
  19. For a while there, the Eagles had the best cheerleader in the NFL...Actually, I think it was around the time they went to the SB.
  20. Please flyfisher, don't become a Giants Fan!..LOL
  21. You went from a Chiefs fan to a Bronco fan?...I thought that was sacrilegious !...LOL I know one thing, I AM NOT going from a Pats fan to a Jets fan!
  22. No flyfisher, you're not far from the truth with Goodel...and you are a true fan for your team and I really respect that!! The location has a lot to do with it, heck, Jacksonville was darn near paralyzed for a week the year they hosted it.
  23. LMAO...do you like ANYONE?...J/K LOL
  24. I'd have to do a search on that, but I do remember they did play in cold venues back in the day so it tells me it wasn't always neutral. EDIT: Actually, it looks like they were: http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/history
