  1. Absolutely. I have a few more baits and techniques I use than the ones you listed and still get skunked once in a while...Heck it happens, just rack it up to a bad fishing day and hit it again another day. It's still fishing, you can't control a bite.
  2. I switched to copolymers from mono a couple of years agao. I like PLine C21 and CXX. I got in the free spool of Tuf-Line Supercast recently (just pay shipping), and will be using/trying that next month.
  3. WOW...A Gomer Pyle reference...LMDO! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/115851-texting-codes-for-seniors/?p=1266887 Sorry...Couldn't resist
  4. They sure do, I caught 3 last week on a red craw Spot on the north side of the pond. The south side still had ice on it. Very low water temps.
  5. They just stocked our waters with trout and those peeps I see are pretty ignorant, but the good news is, they're gone in a couple of weeks til October. Grin and bear it.
  6. You can fish it like a spinnerbait, rip it like a lipless crank, lift drop, helicopter, it flat out works. I can't take credit for it, keith71 posted one in the tacklemaking forum and I pm'd permission to try the idea. The swivel is actually a mistake, I ran out of BB swivels when I made this, but this split ring is tied in, but you can attach like a spinnerbait trailer. Thanks for the kind posts bassbill and Bass Thumb.
  7. Chenille. Ready for a little dab of Megastrike.
  8. Here you go...On page 5, I believe, you can match your hook to the sizes shown. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/Content/downloads/sizing_chart.pdf
  9. Good deal Hootie, you're gonna really like them. I got 10 jig heads from Mike and I think I had them in my mail box 3-4 days after order. I told Mike what I needed the jig to do and he gave me his recommendations. Here's a jig head he sent that I made a switchblade with: Already a proven winner thanks to Mike.
  10. 4.5 or 5 can be used for a willow blade.
  11. Did they mention the weight of the spinnerbait?
  12. Christian, I'm not afraid to admit that after reading such great news it brought a tear to my eye. Congrats to your mom and I hope you all have a great time on your deserved vacation!
  13. Last year I went old school...Blades and Grubs
  14. I was gonna say, "those were the days", but those days never came for me. That guy is a FREAK-A-ZOID!
  15. Thanks pabassr, I really appreciate the kind post.
  16. ROFL...you could have bet the mortgage on that prediction! Nice post Ranger!
  17. Thanks pabassr, that's what we're here for...share ideas! Good luck and be sure to post up some of your work.
  18. Consider yourself lucky that you will never catch up with him...LOL
  19. Nice to have you aboard Neon!
  20. C'mon A-Jay! No need to feel embarrassed...
  21. Happy Birthday Dwight! I hope you had a great day.
  22. Great job PondBoss!
  23. I got some lead free jigs from Siebert Outdoors and can not be happier with them. Great service and workmanship. I can not say enough good things about Mike. I actually didn't know cadman was producing lead free jigs, good for him, he's one of the most helpful peeps in the tacklemaking section you'd ever want to meet.
  24. Which do you think your leader will come through the guides easier?
  25. I went lipless crankbait for the first time this year after reading many posts about using red and lipless cranks in cold water...Three in a few hours in low 40*'s was enough to convince me.
