  1. That right there is hilarious! ? Its the modified FG which is more like the FU knot. It’s not as sweet looking as the FG, it’s just plain Fricken Ugly! ?
  2. I went early august both times, fishing was phenomenal
  3. I stayed out in Lake Dillon twice @Mr. Aquarium. Loved the area. I was so close on buying property out there but ended up buying in Maine. I didn’t get a chance to fish lake Dillon proper but I was able to fly fish the gold medal rivers in surrounding towns. Looks like you did well for yourself. Congrats.
  4. I'm pretty easy, besides a little salt when they come out, a squeeze of lemon does it for me. Those must have been some scrumptious tacos @bulldog1935
  5. I’m in the process of making these today:
  6. The bluegill looks fine to me @Michigander.
  7. You can’t go wrong with a bucktail jig like @soflabasser recommend. I also like the diamond jig as well. So many ways you can go with it.
  8. I feel lucky to be in my 50’s and being able to have my parents alive, although the years are really taking it’s toll on them. We’re Italian-American and enjoy ravioli around the holidays. My grand parents were from the Italy and my father learned a lot from his parents and as a kid I was able to learn from my “papa”. Every year my father and I would turn out a couple of hundred for the family. Mine being the smallest I took 40 home for my family and in-laws. Great, the pic is sideways. ? Merry Christmas all
  9. Please don't say "pinch". ?
  10. So sorry to hear that.
  11. Yessir. You look like you need to replace that “T” hat for a “B” hat anyway. At least for the time your fishing in Lake Atlantic. ?
  12. You ever make it up this way, lemme know! Congrats 46!
  13. Yeah, like the hair color on that jig! Envious! In all honesty, that looks sweet? Did that catch the linesider too! Looks like that’ll make it into my saltwater arsenal. The saltwater Santa came early, will be posting up the saltwater “a-salt” tackle for next season.
  14. Oh man, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong: @TnRiver46 Post: “Went to the cabin to do some construction work. Went out to the lake for lunch and got 6 large mouth bass, 4 small mouth bass, 11 bowfin, 6 white bass...” A week later @TnRiver46 posts: “Went to lunch for a half hour and got 6 drum, 4 stripers, 6 white bass and more crappie to have a wedding fish fry.” Just stop it! I am so green with envy I’m looking like the Hulk’s little brother that fell asleep in the sun and woke up with an olive green tan! I told you before, me and you need to go into biz together. ? You know I’m kidding bud. Nice fish you caught. Congrats bud! ?
  15. Oh wow, really? Would they be getting ready to spawn down there already? I didn't realize it was so soon. Congrats on the outing.
  16. Perfect. After a day on the water you can touch it up if need be. ?
  17. I'm getting a new boat sent up from the factory around March and it come equipped with this Garmin unit, any opinions?
  18. Vertical jigging @Jig Man.
  19. Great on linesiders @TnRiver46
  20. Get by the fact that the lures shown are inline spinners, just look at colors. Here’s what lures look like in blue water. As you can see, blue, white, silver/chrome, black and green show up best
  21. OMG @CountryboyinDC, I went into total vapor lock! I’m looking at a reel with a 120 yd capacity with 12 lb test. I’m fishing 60’...only 20 yds. I never made the conversion until I read your post...? No wonder why I was paralyzed! I was in vapor lock the whole time...?
  22. I’m may be over thinking this but I’m suffering paralysis by analysis here. I want to fish deep water structure at say 60’ max - deep for me anyway - and I want to spool a baitcaster with 14 lb mono, what’s the rule of thumb with line capacity for selecting a reel? Twice the depth? Three times? I never put a lot of thought into it. Or is it just what I mentioned earlier; paralysis by analysis?
  23. You may not have been been around for that long @DitchPanda, but your making a positive impact. Thank you for the kind post! I appreciate you. I’ve been told the same thing about the boat I’m getting @haggard, “it’ll surprise you that it’ll perform more than just an inshore boat.” Would love to get out on the water with you one of these days?! Keep in touch. Thank you so much for the kind words. Merry Christmas!
  24. Hey @Darren., long time bud. Hope all is well with you and the family. Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate you!
  25. I had a rescue puppy do the same thing. I ended up splitting the grip instead of a full replacement. Thought I’d throw that out there, although you sound pretty committed to replacement. Good luck on the repair.
