  1. Hello Rick and welcome from the 617.
  2. Hey Scotty, welcome to Bass Resource from the 617.
  3. My parents have an Apple computer and are looking into security software, any recommendations?
  4. PERFECT! If I had to add one other thing, the skirt and trailer (if using one) add lift as well.
  5. Hey bud. Do what you have confidence in doing. This sport is about having confidence and fun. I've seen jigs just tied and looked ragged. Trimmed so even, it was almost too perfect. Layered with the top overhanging the bottom and vice versa, looking like a hair band mullet. There's nothing wrong with trimming a jig to the way you like it. Have fun and go catch some memories.
  6. When it's hot out I don't like to eat big, but I can't skip a meal either. 5-6 hardboiled egg whites, bottles of water, handful of pistachio nuts, preferably unsalted and either a banana or apple. Usually it's an apple, bananas tend to turn fast in a hot weather environment.
  7. My wife and daughter will get their hair done almost monthly, I just pack a shoe box up with spinnerbaits and jigs and pay the extra $5 to get them trimmed and layered. ? I can honestly say that I've never been that OCD with it. But here it is:
  8. @Whatever. Another winter boredom project a couple years ago. I made a template on a Hallmark card and transferred it to a piece of aluminum. Once cut out, sanded and drilled for line and hook attachments, I got a permanent template. I transferred that to a 14ga silver/nickel alloy (I'm pretty sure it's silver/nickel. I'm going from memory). Cut out, hammered on the head of the bolt (next to my hammer in the pic) and edges ground/sanded). Added reflective tape - Although it didn't need it - and hardware. Voila!
  9. I remember that color scheme used to be really prevalent, don't see it anymore. The other was the same except for translucent instead of white. Thanks for the reminder...
  10. Looks like a 318 Gizzard Shad??
  11. Ya know that slice of pie a few posts up? That would've came out whole on one end and we won't talk about what would've happened on the other end. I'm sure you're getting a visual tho. ?
  12. Anyone ever use them? Seems like one of those I just over looked and I don't see them very often in tackle stores? They look like they would do well in stained water. I made a spinner up over the weekend for some multi species fishing and gotta admit, I would love to see the copper get to that greenish patina stage. Any opinions on copper bladed spinnerbaits?
  13. Sorry @A-Jay - Yeah, pass!! Will leave that for the PROE-FESHIN-OHS
  14. I used to drink iced coffee in the summer until the shop I went to charged me like $3 for a medium. A hot medium size was 2.50ish. I emptied the coffee out of my iced coffee one day only to find that the coffee content would make up a small hot coffee. That was really the end of my iced coffee days. Couldn’t see spending $3 for added ice. I got my daughter a cold brewed kit a couple years ago and with it I got her Bizzy cold brewed grounds and Stone Street. Both we’re excellent but she has Bizzy delivered monthly now. I’ll have a glass of that sometimes in the summer. Fun fact: The darker, stronger tasting coffee like a dark roast has less caffeine than a lighter roast.
  15. Ya kno boom, I think I should make my way to the Berkshire’s to fish with you and get your butt up to fish with me! hope you like a few laughs!
  16. My bad JB, no need to apologize, actually I need to apologize to you. I read that wrong. You wrote it right. My apologies again.
  17. @jbsoonerfan, All the drop shot rigs, really? I see the different wgts? Must be different plastics? No? edit: not being critical , honestly just learning the drop shot.
  18. Grady’s are great boats! Waaay out of my price range at the moment. Once the house in Maine is paid there may be a Grady or Key West in my future. In fact I almost pulled the trigger on a used Key West this year.
  19. It was a matter of time but I knew that one would make it out of the woodworks @A-Jay. I still love it!
  20. I thought so. So in my search for a new boat I was told that the boat you’re looking at and the boat I bought didn’t lose a lot of value and were popular boats. I went smaller because I moor mine in the bay. If a hurricane comes up the coast I can get a max 17’er down the river and tie off to my biddies dock or I can throw a transient mooring out there and not worry about the storm or pulling the boat. If I didn’t have my home In Maine, I would by all means buy the bigger boat. Contradictory I know. But, if I could afford to slip at a marina, I would. Definitely would have went bigger, no doubt.
  21. Can’t wait to see that!
  22. ?...Believe me, I wasn't going to post it, HaHa...and that's more like winter boredom more than outside the box. Thanks @Jig Man, hope all is well. It been a long time since we spoke? The last time I think you were working on a laminate craw, if memory serves?
  23. I went back and forth between the Robalo and the the one I settled on and was literally a toss up. I got the Edgewater b/c I found a dealer willing to give me more boat for less money as well as a better trade in. Mine will be moored in the bay, so no worries there. I really liked the Robalo tho, what model you looking at?
  24. Some materials being thrown out: Copper ground wire from 12/2 cable, the hook is wrapped in copper wire from communications wire, the plastic spacer is from a fuel line, the oxidized bead is from an old saltwater lure. I bent the clevis from the leftover wire shaft. I wish I had the proper tools to bend the copper wire body but as rogue as it looks I just may fish it. ?
  25. Alright just this once: ”By the way. Did you make any decisions on going out fishing today? I know last night you were in the fence? Well if you do - I HOPE YOU STRIKE OUT!.” ? Good luck my friend
