  1. Abby needed a little work done on one of the digits. She’s not happy about the lamp shade tho. ?
  2. Is it that much cheaper to buy Japanese products (less duty and tax) now or are certain products no available over here and you kinda have to buy overseas? I would think at one point back in the day where the USD was worth a lot more than the Yen it would be advantageous but now? Not so much. Just wondering if there are advantages or not?
  3. This was my thoughts exactly. You were just a little more eloquent about it bulldog1935...?
  4. Winter settled in here in New England. 8* this morning. We'll be in this cold spell til Sunday. Next week's forecast? Low-40*'s with one possible day close to 50*. Only in New England
  5. If someone can give me information on the Terminator blade: The part that attaches to the spinnerbait arm, is that a flat surface from the spilt ring to the crease at the bottom of the blade or does it have a slight cup? The part that looks bent on the sides, is that a flat bend from the crease to edge of blade or cupped?
  6. 3" coffee tube
  7. Yes. I agree with ^^^, definitively white perch. Side note: I was working with @TnRiver46 on a lake home project and we caught a 5 gallon bucket full at lunch time. We had white perch for dinner for a week! ?
  8. Bluefish & Stripers love em too!
  9. 60 years!? Thanks a lot, I'm not that old!!
  10. Same as any other bait. Fish not only see up but up at an angle, so they'll see the side of a bait ... and ... not give one hoot to what it looks like but will react to what it's doing. ?
  11. Just a quick question: Which is the Oklahoma blade? or I thought it was the bottom one which is/was a terminator blade? Is terminator still producing?
  12. 33* is indian summer in late January. It's kinda late for New England but out temps are starting to plummet. Let's just say, I'm not missing the spawn. ?
  13. Oh, man, what a bummer! I know much how he loves baseball. I too have separated my shoulder playing hockey and like @12poundbass I didn't exactly take care of it the way I should have. Like @jbsoonerfan, mentions in his post, take this year to rehab properly and work on getting stronger. Perhaps he can work on mobility/flexibility to the rest of his body as well as core work while the wing heals up? My son is a year older than yours and he is constantly working on mobility/flexibility, core and nutrition in addition to to weight training. He's got the 6 pack to show for it. I wish I had his tenacity at that age in my HS playing days. Good luck. All you can do at this point is keep him positive.
  14. Daniel, that was incredible! Loved the vid and thanks for providing such educational content. I’ve been in construction professionally since the late 80’s and prior to that I worked at a door making shop during my jr and sr high school summers. Never have I ever seen anyone use super glue and baking soda to fill holes. Great idea! Beautiful perch pattern! Please post how it runs in the water. Thank you again.
  15. I agree, copper does give a certain je ne sais quoi to the lure.
  16. I can certainly appreciate that, I can honestly say that you’re definitely doing your homework because I never heard anyone specify the stainless steel component. To me there’s a trade off with the wire frame. Thinner gauge wire = more vibration. Conversely , thicker is less. It comes down to do you want a spinnerbait that is durable - thicker wire, or something with more vibration that is susceptible to getting mangled? The latter will give you more bang for the buck. The former will give you the components back to put on a new wire frame. Post up your spinnerbait when your done. Would love to see it man. ?
  17. Is there any fish left in the lake after the spring when you're done @detroit1? That lure sounds like a freeway ride to Vacuumtown. Killer bait man! ?
  18. Why such rigid specs? I get the swivel, maybe the blades and don’t forget the clevis? What is your ideal spinnerbait?
  19. Yeah I know, winter boredom has really settled in. ?
  20. I’m assuming you’re talking about the spoon and not the dumpster fire of a spinner @Guitarfish? ? Winter boredom definitely settled in last weekend. Congrats on your retirement! It must be a great feeling. Where do you think you want to settle down? Good luck and post up a pic of your next build.
  21. You’re asking a question that is still subjective amongst anglers from different regions. We each have varying water conditions in our parts of the country. You could just as easily read reviews of different lures from tackle distributers and Amazon. But I digress. For me just after ice out here in the northeast I think of a craw imitation hard or soft plastic. You can start your search for the silver bullet from there.?
  22. I tried that @A-Jay, unfortunately someone didn't check first...
  23. When I was a little leaguer I collected baseball cards in the mid-70's and getting a Hank Aaron card was like hitting mega-millions. Well I finally got his card in '76 and was the happiest little leaguer on earth. I had a friend over after school one day and I made the mistake of showing him my baseball card collection. Well, he stole the card and I never saw it again. My father worked as part of the grounds crew when the braves played in Boston. Hank wasn't on the big league club yet back then, but my father did say he saw him in an exhibition game on day. Hank, if memory serves me well, made the big league club the first year they moved to Milwaukee. I never saw that record breaking home run, just replays. To this day, I'll stop dead in my tracks to watch that historic moment. RIP Hammerin Hank.
  24. I like to fish lures that contrasting colors. Something that has 2 or 3 colors in it. Besides colors washing out now you have to deal with colors of the water as the season progresses. By having multiple colors, you increase you chances of you lure/fly being seen.
  25. I appreciate all your responses and will check into the recommendations posted here. I agree that Apple does a good job with security, but I have never believed it was bullet proof. My mom and dad are in their 80's with far too much to lose should they get hacked. If adding security software makes them happy then I'm all for having that little "insurance policy" provided by the software. ?
