  1. I live in the Dundalk area and have been fishing from the piers in the area, so when I got my license, I only got Bay Sport/Tidal. I had been planning on getting my Freshwater at some point (planning a couple Loch Raven boat rentals with my daughter and a colleague), but think I may need to do so sooner. The evening bite on Bear Creek at Chesterwood Park seems to be pretty good...I'm just never there with my rod in good conditions. In the 1-2 hours before sunset I've heard and seen fish whack bugs on the surface every 5-10 minutes. I'm just always there when it's crazy windy or freezing cold. I don't use live bait- I would prefer to fish actively than sit alone and stare at a bobber. (Is my perception of live bait fishing wrong?) So I'm looking for other locations suitable from shore, that aren't too far away- perhaps ~30 minutes from Dundalk. I was looking at Google Maps and up the road in Essex is Sue Creek and Turkey Point Parks in Essex. Sue Creek looks like it might be the right place to find some fish. I hope to drive by sometime this week. A search of the forums gave me Loch Raven and Centennial Lakes as good shore spots as well. Any other recommendations or tips from anyone that fishes the Dundalk shores?
  2. I liked the Goliath one. My wife and I about fell off the couch when that old guy dove in the raging Congo to retrieve a snagged net.
  3. What were you tossing? Would pitching up on the rocks and letting the bait fall into the water invite a bite?
