  1. Are you fishing matted grass, laydowns, or docks, ect. Yesterday at Basspro I held the 7'6'' flipping stick and it is a mighty fine rod for 100$, and could easily be placed in the 150 dollar range, with SiC inserts. If you're looking for a Telescopic Flipping stick, the GL2 is an absolute beast. I just lately got a Dobyns 765 and haven't fished it yet, but so far it's a fine rod too. But, you could get a Veritas 7'3'' and a Veritas 7'6'' to cover all of your frog, hollow body swimbaits, flipping and pitching needs.
  2. Alot of people are record chasers around here. Hours and hours. My dads friend has the world record Jack Crevalle on spinning gear with like 2 pound test. Fought it four hours. It's pretty much the captain doing the work.
  3. The Kings will be on the pier as well. While fishing with bigger baits there is a number of fish you can catch on the pier. Cobia, Redfish, Flounder, Spanish, Bluefish. There will always be SOMETHING out there Isn't always good !
  4. Thanks to all you guys, but yes he does ! I should have a MUCH better video coming tomorrow. It's Blue Bird Skies now, and I really didn't want to waste my time. I will be sure to keep my head still as well. For music, I was thinking Xanadu. And make the video to where you here the music and my voice, but I'm still undecided
  5. I'm really lucky, and have proven to my dad that i'm a good kid. My dad has done everything in his life for me and my brother. He works his a$$ off everyday, and when he's home he is doing something for me or my bro.
  6. I'm driving the boat, my dad drops me off.
  7. I've fished one of the two 2 years ago. But I can't remember which one it was, and my dad is out of town, so all I can say is that it's where FLW usually launches and right in front of it was a park and playground thing. Was that East Lake Toho or Lake Toho? Do you think if would be good flipping ?
  8. I live like 45mins from Mobile. Tensaw (Mobile Delta) has many launches on it, if you're fishing from a boat, I'd launch at Cliffs, a public launch a little ways up Tensaw. You can go down river and fish the delta for specks, reds, flounder, and bass. Or go up river and fish the main river or the lakes such as Miffin or Dennis. If you're fishing from the bank, there are piers in the delta area but will be all saltwater fishing. I would drive a little ways and fish the Gulf Shores Pier.
  9. I own the cumara you mentioned, easily my favorite rod. I used to use straight loomis rods, until the cumara.
  10. Thanks guys. And yes it is mounted on a hat, just a bps hat. It took my dad like 2 mins to make it. lol
  11. I was just testing out my Kodak Playsport yesterday on Perdido river and caught my first bass of 2011, and yes it was a dink ! I'm not the best editor though, sorry. Enjoy,
  12. My dad owns the Wreckin' Stix 7'4'' Flipping Rod. Awesome rod, except the hook keeper is a hole in the trigger. The first few times my dad used it, it gave him a big blister. But other than that, nice. The grips are sick !
  13. Yes ! But yeah I love all their music but would have to say the 70's are my favorite. Fly By Night, 2112, Farewell to Kings. Hemispheres is amazing. It's Unreal that they are not said to be one of the best rock n roll bands by many, and let alone the best prog rock band ever!
  14. haha, I hear ya. I can't pick a favorite Rush song with them all being amazing, but Xanadu would be in the mix anyway. I really love The Fountain of Lamneth(Some Rush fans don't even know it)
  15. Awesome!!! I love to hear about people knowing a little Rush, other than Tom Sawyer ! ;D But it is an amazing album, and know that they made the album as a last stand for history of the band. I don't know if you've watched it but even if you're not a big Rush fan, you should look into the documentary Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage. Hemispheres!!!! One of the best rush albums with 2112 and Permanent Waves Yes, Hemispheres is my brother and dads favorite. And would probably be their most progressive work. I'm on a Caress of Steel kick right now.
  16. What time is best for this lake, mainly east lake toho? But I think I should throw this in, I'm not to big into bed fishing. I'll do it, it's just not a thing I want to do primarily.

  18. And back then, MTV actually played music videos, and sometimes even good ones. ;D Well, I was just expressing my view. And I don't understand how a simple fun post can raise such havoc. People don't have to agree or anything. Not everyone took it that way... Thanks BASSclary, lynrdsky1, and hamby for taking it the way it was intended to go.
  19. I'm doing dual and rolement my senior year. And next year (Junior) I will be taking some AP classes.
  20. I love being on BR during school. Makes it go by much faster. Bass fishing > School. And yet I still have a 3.75 GPA. School is a joke.
  21. GEARS OF WAR ... 'Nuff Said. :
  22. Xbox > Ps3 all day. Ps3 online is free, HORRIBLE INTERNET CONNECTION. Obviously, the Xbox if you're talking Multiplayer. Ps3 fans can't get it through their heads, XBL is where its at. NOT PSN. Graphics are barely noticeable, as the TV does the work.
  23. Yepp, they are definitely the kings, the sad thing is, their is so many people that don't recognize their unbelievable talent. &&& Go with the Curado It's the RUSH of reels.
  24. Flipping in General, but actually flipping, Not Pitching. Whether it be flipping 1/2 oz jigs to Treetops & Laydowns, or Flipping 1 1/2 oz weighted Sweet Beavers into Mats. Btw, I've NEVER caught a fish on a dropshot. Or caught a smallmouth > I'm gonna change that this year !
  25. I thought this post was going to be just a post asking what is a good shakey head rod, well anyway you hit it right on! With a Stradic or something, reel isn't the biggest deal.
