AL
sorry but I know y'all will pardon me asking what I am sure has been asked LOTS... but...
I know the new Curados are supposed to be on the shelves this month... any idea WHEN? I am getting back on Thursday so I can actually PLAN on when I can go and see about getting one..
AL
those have been going around for quite a while... a few aren't even american soldiers... but don't want to take away from the "fun factor" those are some very cool pictures...
I will try and post some when I get all my stuff in from the mail man
AL
kind of hard to follow from Kuwait... when does it end? I am hoping to catch at least the closing ceremony in the good ole US of A.... I did watch the opening ceremony... it was definately different...
AL
I dusted off the fishing gear when I was home on leave the end of May.. but I can't wait to get home and get it properly broke back in...
hot as you know what here and sandy.... argh! ONE MORE FULL DAY of sitting around being bored to death and then we begin the journey by emptying all our stuff out in Customs and then waiting hours and hours for the flight... then the 16 hour flight.. not counting the stop over... *sigh* I am getting tired just thinking about it
anyone in Georgia should come to Fort Stewart on the 14th for the welcome home parade.. that is always something to watch and get you to appreciate what this is all about... not a dry eye to be found I assure you that...
AL
update... they moved my date to leave Iraq up... I am now at Camp Virginia in Kuwait and will be here for the next few days before flying home to Georgia....
just thought I would update those that care and have been following my goings on for the last 15 months
AL
Burley, I feel your pain... I joined a bass club the other year... I hear stories about folks WINNING their first tournament... pffft... I went SIX.. yes SIX tournaments without CATCHING a fish... I don't mean just not weighing one... I didn't flipping CATCH a fish... then I started catching fish and I won the first tournament I CAUGHT fish at hahaha... so I do feel your pain... its frustrating. But I tell you my brother... After going thru what I have gone thru over the past 15 months... I will never ever complain about NOT catching fish again... you have NO idea how relaxing fishing is when you get a reality check on life like I did... keep your chin up... relax.. and become the FISH
AL
I just "sold my CHU" the other day...I actually got a decent price for everyting... I got about 50% of what I had in it... and I got VERY lucky and sold my stuff to a guy that likes to fish... so all my stickers will remain and a legacy is born hopefully he passes it on to another angler...
I heard it ticked him off so he asked to be released so he could go to whatever team he wanted... *shrug*
I love and respect the guy but he should stayed retired, he doesn't have anything else to prove...
AL
hahahaha dude that is too cool... last month when I was on leave I went into the PX and they had one sitting out... I picked it up and jammed.. the kid standing there looked at me like I was an alien hahahaha... my daughters just laughed... YEP thats my Dad...
AL
to be honest I can't remember what I got... its not like I can just go to my fishing storage room and look this minute ;D But I did the research and what I got was acceptable for what I am using..I want to say I got 8 gage because the distance was under 15 foot. I just need to make sure I put a circuit breaker or fuse in the line somewhere...
AL
I am looking on ebay.. tinned wire is much cheaper.. I am thinking I only want to do this once... and if I am going to only do it once.. I aught to spend the extra and do it right... so I am going to go with tinned wire.. I am looking on epay.. much more reasonable... btw... my boat is 14 ft Jon and I have the wire for the trolling motor already... I need to get wire for my depth finder and my live well system once I get it... so roughly... 30 foot of red and 30 foot of black tinned wire.. or any color as long as they are different for each other.. I am probably going to roll with 14 gage just to be on the safe side...
thanks for all the input.. keep the ideas coming...
AL
great googly moogly even with a discount on all the wire and fuse blocks and panels etc... $274.44 ouch... and that doesn't include a new livewell pump kit... *sigh* gonna have to buy the wife a VERY nice present to get her to agree to this one... when they say a boat is a big black hole.. I didn't think that included dang ELECTRIC ONLY JON BOATS ;D
and no I am not whining... I am just talking smack
