Hopefully in about 71 hours I will be on my way back for my 18 day leave... the last week has seemed like the last MONTH to me... ARGH!!!! just trying to keep busy till I can come home for a visit... a year is a long time folks... don't want thanks.. just PLEASE help me get thru the next 3 days hahahahaha AL

both systems have thier good points... I have both... I prefer the Wii for sports games.. but for shooter and driving games.. 360 is the way to go... bass fishing on the Wii is as close as I get.. and its actually pretty fun! AL

I use 50# power pro... more for manageability with digging... anything less and it seems like I am stripping off line to re-lay it after I snag or hook onto a hog... AL

I hear a good time was had by all and no big gripes... The guy that was part of the Falcon staff that was wearing the ACU Army Cap is a friend of mine. Falcon is a class act as far as I am concerned... and not just because I have a buddy on staff AL

Falcon makes an excellent rod. I have nothing but good to say about Falcon rods period... give them a try you won't be sorry. AL

Let me tell you something about Mr Dance. He is a GREAT person... HE took time out to autograph and send me SEVERAL items for my fishing wall I put up here.. I have TRIED to contact other Pros but the only ones that answered were Mr Dance, Mr Houston and Mike D. from Lunkerville... so to say anything negative about these folks doesn't please me, I know BIG WOOP... my momma always said if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything... I think that should apply here too... just my 2 cents worth

I have begun OPERATION TALON... I have 17 days until my return to civilization for 18 days.... I have a 24 and 36 in drift sock WITH attachments ropes. I have all new fishing line for my bait casters... 10 and 12 LB ultrasoft and 50# power pro... I got some CROCS as my foot wear for on the boat... a new under armour t-shirt for fishing that is awesome...I ordered a new Tonneau cover for the truck to keep everything where is should when I am going down the tank trails to my secret spots. my "wish list" is rather small now 1. I need a battery charger 2. I need a cover for my boat its a 14 ft jon boat with a foot controlled TM on the front. I can remove the seats as best as I can tell.. don't know for sure I have yet to see it in person. 3. I would like a pair of anchormates 4. a paddle (don't want to be up the creek without one) 5. a push pole with the "duck feet" for moving around the stick ups on Metz any suggestions on the charger and cover would be welcome so I don't waste any money. I will have to try it out... I have ordered a lot of stuff lately to prep me for my return so the wife might raise an eyebrow if I order it now... maybe in a week or so when I get my "allowance" again ;D AL

ok no problem... the wife asked and I told her what I wanted and she told me to see if I could work it out... I am not going to stress about it, we have had a bad couple of days and believe me the last thing in the world I am worried about is getting a fishing rod... *shrug* can't talk about it because I doubt if the next of kin has been notified... anyways I will start saving my pennies and maybe I can work something out with someone for when I redeploy in August.. would that be enough time? what would be a better price range? I wouldn't want anyone to do this for free by any means... AL

Maybe yours grows back quickly. Mine stopped growing back in the mid 80's. ummmm I don't think it stopped growing back.. I think it sucks into our bodies and then emerges in OTHER spots... EWWWWW

while we can get polarized sunglasses by Oakley for CHEAP... I won't use them for fishing... they just don't cut it ... I have some Ocean Eyes that I am going to try when I get home.. if they don't cut it I will get me some Costal Del Mars. AL

Just start with one set up at a time... for instance a Citica 100 and a Falcon Low rider rod is a good DECENT set up... will only cost you a bit over 200 and that is one sweet set up that I would take to a tournament any day... I don't know of any place that offers a substantial discount either... BPS offers a discount but only on certain days... like others have mentioned.. the bst here is an AWESOME source as well as ebay... good luck with your quest... don't try and buy it all at once... and before you know it you will have an arsenal that anyone would be proud to have... My wife wanted to know what I wanted for an early Father's day present since I will be back here in Iraq for it and she wanted to get me something for when I come home in 3 weeks (I THINK). Anyways I told her I wanted a custom built rod... nothing fancy just a 7 foot WORM ROD with a split grip and spiral wrap... and of course a patriotic or ARMY theme... now here is where I am running into trouble... the guy I THOUGHT I was going to tell her to talk to no longer accepts internet orders :'( SO can one of my buds here please shoot me a PM and let me know if you can help me out with a name? Its not going to be a high end rod.. we can't afford much with me coming home... we are taking a vacation to Orlando.read $$$$$$$$$$$$..... so I was thinking something in the $150 range shipped Thanks to anyone that wants to accept this challenging task..
