Yea bank fishing. It's about 25 acres. There are brush piles scattered around the lake and rocks submerged on the NW and SW corners. Done best on jigs and beavers and other plastics. Senkos if no wind.
Anybody been down to Butler recently? Are the lilly pads covering much yet?
Chisholm north lake has been good for me in the past. Several 3 and 4 lbers out of there.

Have any of you ever used or tried this?? Wondering how well it would work for my shore fishing.
Never fished in your part of the country, but here I use the Netbait Paca Craw. It's the best I've found and it isn't even close imo. I love Bama Bug, Okochobee Craw, Alabama Craw, and Green Pumpkin/Watermellon. These work great t-rigged on a Mustad flippin hook or as a jig trailer on a Seibert brush jig.
Just got 2 Shimano Caenans for $17 each at Dicks on winter clearance. 75% off! Also got a Veritas 7'6" MH/F for $30. Finally got 5 spools of 150 yd 50# power pro super slick for $7 each! You all need to check your local Dicks!
Any of you guys in the Wichita area have much luck with winter bass outside of power plant lakes? Hoping to find a few places nearby that would produce in the next month.
This is a small 25 acre lake in south-central Kansas near Wichita. I am not sure as to the exact topography of the lake as I have never taken a boat with depth finder on the lake. The lake has been entirely ice-free for about 2 days as we have had around a week straight of 40-50 degree weather. The next 3 days are forecast to be around 65-70 degrees and sunny. The red dots on the lake are brush piles in around 6-8 feet of water. The area noted with small gravel rock is a gentle sloping bank down to around 6-8 feet of water with golf ball sized gravel and smaller. There is no cover that I know of in that area. The area in the NW corner with larger shallow rocks is only around 4-6 feet of water. The water clarity is currently around 2 to 3 feet. Not sure the water temperature.
I attempted fishing the brush piles with paca craws and finesse jigs to no avail, how would you go about approaching the lake with this information?

Heading out tonight and trying to get a grasp on how the fish are going to react to the weather change around here lately. In Wichita, KS. Has been 95-105 the last 4 days, the fish had really shut off and moved to deep water. Last night we got an inch of rain and it's currently 65. By this afternoon should be sunny and 80-85. Heading out this evening and trying to make sense of what these fish will be doing.
