  2. My first spinnerbait bass.. was absolutely hooked after that.
  3. I'm gonna have to bite too, and say my favorite is my 6'9" MH x-F BPS Carbonlite paired with my BPS PQ 7.1:1 spinnerbait set-up. I also have it spooled with 14lb or 17lb Stren MagnaFlex; depending on the cover, water clarity, ect. Im fishing that day. C-K
  4. Hey Y'all, I know that when most of us go fishing... we got a mess of rods on the deck, and each one has its place. Just curious, which one out of that whole tangle of poles do you like using the most? and Why? What kinda rod, reel, line make it up, and why do you like using it so much? C-K
  5. Super Spooks.. Hands down. I like them because you can fish em fast, slow, aggressive, and quiet. They cast a mile, and accurately. As for colours, foxy shad, okie shad, and florida bass The lure i love the most... foxy shad... but you could barely tell... gone through atleast 6 pairs of triple grips, and the thing is beat to all hell with teeth marks, hook marks... etc. If it still walks.. it aint coming off my line.

  7. are their swimbaits good... comparable to tru-tungstens??
  8. i always use buzzers early in the morning... sun barely up.... and in regards to where to throw it... anywhere you think fish will be holding. Its pretty weedless so huck it in the thick stuff. And if your fishing wood, docks, etc., run the lure right into the cover, make more noise. Finally... have confidence... convince yourself that you'll catch fish on the lure, but dont be afraid to change if you come out of it empty handed.
  9. Hey guys... wooly hawgtail... your thoughts... i know its good for flippin n pitchin. what kinda cover you like throwing it to? I was thinkin it would work well if swam instead of the typical vertical presentation associated with flippin n pitchin. lemme know what you guys think
  10. hey guys.... quick question, i know the Zoom Tiny Brush Hog is optimal for dropshotting... but if one were to want to use it for flippin' and pitchin', or for some swimmin', would you have to use a 1/0 hook... or could I get away with a 2/0 without losing any action? Thanks, CanadianKid
  11. ^ What that guy said. Atleast I have Triple Grips on all my rattlebaits and topwaters. They hook and hold fish like no other treble hook out there. I like to use the KVD Short Shank on my rattlebaits... and the reg. ones on my topwaters.
  12. Bomber Shallow A BPS "the EGG" Bandit Footloose
  13. zoom swimmin' chunk.
  14. three things you need to check: 1. split ring 2. speed 3. keep the eye straight
  15. Bombers Shallow and Square A, and Bass Pro Shops XPS Lazer Eye Egg. Throws like a bullet, and doesn't go deeper than 10".
  16. feel the fish... and just giver' with the hookset. Hard as ya can. Always use a trailer hook as for the retrieve... let the fish tell ya.

  18. Hey guys, I know there have been alot of posts about topwater lines on this board, but I got one more for ya! I have always used 12lb Stren Original for my topwater aplications and it has worked amazing for me. However, it absrobs water like a sponge. I have tried using wax, and chapstick to keep some of that line floating, but its annoying to have to keep re-applying it every 30 or so casts. Was thinking about going to Fireline, but I have had bad experiences with Berkley line in the past and I still want some of that line stretch you have with mono. Was wondering if I could get some suggestions in choosing a line that has the characteristics mono has, but floats in the process. Any ideas?
  19. Spinnerbait rod I use 14lb. Stren Extra Strength, and for my Crankbait rod its 14lb (shallow running baits), or 12lb (deeper running baits) Stren Original.
  20. Reels- BPS PQ's, Carbonlite -- can't go wrong with those at the price they're at. Rods- BPS CarbonLite, and Abu Garcia Vendetta -- again, a steal at the prices.
  21. greatest spinnerbait i have ever heard! so simple, yet so effective, thanks for the tip!
  22. ok, thought they were just painted blades... what about painted blades?
  23. Boo-Yah Glow Blade.... your thoughts? Any success with it? What do ya think of it for clear water/ low light periods?
