  1. I'm with you!!
  2. First, I'm not sure this is the right forum but I hope it is so here is my question: I have a Lew's Speed spool Model BB-1n That says "Lew Childre Speed Spool" on it. It works and looks OK. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of the value of this particular reel. I'd appreciate any input you guys might have on this. Thanks!!
  3. That fish would be a dream come true for me. Way to go!! Hope you get many more this year. I'm not familiar with the "Hud". You wouldn't have a pic of it would you?
  4. I've heard of different views on this. The one that makes most sense to me is that if you can see a white lure at 18" depth, the water is clear, 12" the water is stained, less equals muddy. But I guess you could apply your own standards as you fish more.
  5. Thanks guys! Didn't know it was so simple. Was actually wondering about the steering cables, wiring from the front panel, etc. Guess it's all look and see.
  6. Just on the off chance that it's a three postion live well switch, off is probably in the middle.
  7. I used to live in Maryland and the ONLY lake I know of that allows gas motors is Deep Creek. You should go to a marine store and get a copy of the Md watershed rules, I think it states in there that only trolling motors are allowed. I fished Liberty with a guy one time and he had a 16' Lowe with 4 golf cart batteries (6 volt) hooked up so they equaled 2 12V and we went all day on those. The only other water I know of are the tidal rivers (potomac, anacostia, choptank, etc). I fished Rocky Gorge a lot back then and there were a lot of bass boats all with the big motors out of the water using their trolling motors. Good Luck, Al
  8. If anyone has an old Cajun Pro Sport user manual laying around gathering dust, I just bought a really nice 91 ps 195 with a 200 Yam on it. The guy I bought it from had it for about 15 years and didn't have the manual for the boat or the motor. If anyone has one or knows where I could get one, I'd appreciate the help. I checked Yamaha but their user manuals on their motors only go back to 98.
  9. I get mine from Barlow's. I think it's barlowstackle.com but you could google it and find out for sure. They are in Richardson Tx and their prices are OK and they ship pretty fast.
  10. My name is Al. I'm 66 yrs young and have been fishing for quite a while. Fish in a small club of about 12-20 guys in mostly small waters in Ks and Ok. I was impressed with the site admin and mods so I signed up. I look forward to reading the input from the members. Thanks to the admin and mods for the opportunity to see what other bass fishermen are thinkin' about during the year.
