The jitterbug and hula popper are the two lures first learned to use. The way you fish topwater should always depend on what the temp is. faster for warm water for cold water pause it shorter slow pops
Went out in the canoe today with my dad. My dad caught a couple of smallies on a rapala origninal floater and I couldnt seem to get any thing. I dug thru my takle box and found berkley wacky worms. So I wacky rigged a june bug colored one on a octopus hook cast it out and let it be. Started talkin to my dad then my line started moving so I picked my rod up and set the hook on a 4 lb 1 oz Largemouth best fish so far this year. Cant wait to go back out.
I saw a rather interesting lure while looking thru the local takle shop (wal-mart) It was called the norries bug does anyone know if they work or how to use it here a link http://www.tackletour.com/images/pickinaminories3.jpg
Ive gone out fishing several times and cant manage a single bite. where should I be fishing right now. If it helps the lake gets to a maximum of 30 feet and the water temp right now is about 40 deggrees
I've heard these work quite well for fishing deep water and currents Does anyone have any experience or know a good way to fish these also If you know sizes and colors that work best that would help.
Ive noticed with pro bass fisherman they seem to have every kind of soft plastic in every color and size do they really use all of them or are most of them for their sponsors?
